Crapped the bed in the D6 GF in 2023, prelim in D5 last year. Have the team to do it on paper, but not a very tall side, I've noticed.

Height wont matter on a dry, sunny Spring day on a big ground where they can utilise their leg speed and ball use.
For their sake I hope it's a dry, sunny day then!

All eyes on Woodville vs Gaza this week. Woodville hoping to keep the finals dream alive and Gaza fighting off yet another relegation. Good luck to Woodville.

Looks like under the new coach, The Game plan isn’t as one dimensional as previous seasons , where it was clear the fwd50 out and kick it to one guy, hence such the spread of goal Kickers they have this season.

Pooraka B grade win on the weekend with Dane Swan playing, but he's not on the team sheet on PlayHQ
Having said that the teams on line for Pooraka all year have been a mess so obviously the league couldn't care less
Pooraka B grade winning against another team not making finals doesn't really affect anything but how is he allowed to play and not be on team sheet after June 30 cut-off
Yes great for league and pooraka but what are the rules around this?

I think you can get a special permit for him to play

He mentioned on radio last week he can get a permit to play B Grade but cannot play A Grade as they won’t give him a permit for that grade

Crapped the bed in the D6 GF in 2023, prelim in D5 last year. Have the team to do it on paper, but not a very tall side, I've noticed.
Lost the Prelim in Div 6 in 2022 also.

Interesting take. Marion goalkickers from 2024, O'Dea 44, Stewart 34, Russell 34, H Stanborough 32, Fleetwood 27, Mitchell 24, Vitale 22, Bunn 21, B Stanborough 16. That's 9 inside the top 50. Mitcham had 5 in the top 50, two of those less than 20 and won the flag. Maybe Marion should have cleared the 50 more?
Only 7 in the top 50 from Marion this year, and they've been much more dominant than last year.

From my limited knowledge, I'd say that gameplan was more 2023 than 2024

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
2023 Marion goalkickers. 9 in the top 50, 2 in the top 6, O'Dea with 73 and Stewart with 48. Marion were +350 for scores and -200 scores against to the next best opponent.
2024 they were essentially level with Mitcham and CLG, but conceded less than CLG. This year in what is a weaker comp all round they've scored slightly less, but conceded about 200 points less than last season. So I'd say they've solidified at the back compared to last year.
They would have done quite well in Div 4 had they made it I'd reckon.
Weirdly they might be better suited to a smaller ground on GF day (assuming they'll get there), as Angel will be harder to get around and the opposition won't score.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
Gaza the unluckiest team in any division to get relegated ?
5 wins, percentage over 48%
11losses under 20 points.
Salisbury stay up with win over trinity
Portland beat undefeated Marion and still miss finals due to other results
Been a crazy year in div 5.

You would think Gaza will go down and do well in D6 next season.

Depends how many stick around and how many think they are too good for D6, despite being relegated from D5.
