The umpiring I observed today at the Port Districts v Salisbury North game is the worst I have seen in the last 5 years. Decision making terrible frustrating players. Inserting themselves into the game talking or actually telling the players what to do. Ignoring the call from Port for the player count just after halftime as SN had 19 on the field and the player was running off. The umpire at ¼ time big noting himself to fellow umpires about how he sorted Lycett out as he is not the big player now is a disgrace. No consistency in decision making.
I feel like there was a bit of hype around Payneham leading into this season, astounded they are going down.
Have you gone a bit early on this one. They are both on 4 wins and PNU play Glenunga this week - a team they beat in Round 9. PAOC are home to GG and win or lose GG are finishing 2nd so that may give PAOC a chance.

Not surprising to read when you look at the umpire appointments and see one of the names listed.

Wow, I could have sworn they were both on 3 wins leading into the game with PAOC having the percentage.
Both good points. The answer might be in him going back there this year because it was safe not being judged. Reads like it's been going on for while. Hard to keep something like that under wraps.
