Northerner you are one person who is in the know at our club.
How many have played their last game for the club and will we have a new coach.

No ones at retiring age, but usually some players move on.southernbulldog wrote:Northerner you are one person who is in the know at our club.

I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas moves on. Time will tell; wouldn't be a bad thing to get a fresh approach.

If Thommo moves on what will his legacy as a coach be....... was he a successful, failure, neutral.northerner wrote:No ones at retiring age, but usually some players move on.southernbulldog wrote:Northerner you are one person who is in the know at our club.

Without remembering exactly where we finished each year there seemed to be fleeting moments across his years where we looked premiership threats also followed by times where we were bang average.
Never seemed to really find the recipe to get a forward line functioning at its best.
Dare I say it the team never really felt like it had a clear identity during his tenor.
Was part of the club at a time where we seemed to have developed some serious talent which is part credit to his eagerness to give youth a go in the league side.
Kind of a real mix bag as a legacy imo.

TBF the Crows lost that match more than the Dogs won that one - if Toby Murray hadn't hit the post in the final minute of the game the Crows win that one.dedja wrote:The Legs have been brilliant the last 2 weeks, but not sure what happened to the Dogs. A spirited win against the Crows then not much … a bit puzzling to be honest as they’re much more capable than those last 2 matches indicate.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

I think he’ll be remembered as a coach who took us from being bottom 3 to a genuine top 5 team.

Never looked good enough to take the choccies but punched above our weight in a couple of finals series.
The improvement was probably on the back of better recruiting over the last 3 years (apart from this year which was a fail recruitment wise)
Assuming he does go the replacement coach will inherit a much more developed group than Thommo did
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.
