I know its a great record to continually be there in the top 4 and participate in a prelim final most years but is that a pass? And most teams would be happy with this but should he have won more flags? One flag in the last 14 years despite that amazing home and away record.
I suspect most of you would love your club to have that record.

Where to for Geelong if they fall out of the 8 next year like most losing Grand Finalists do in recent times
1 flag in 14 years or 2 flags in 15 years? Do most GF losers fall out of the 8 or just sydney this year?
Good question

Considering half the media write us off each year and don't even think we'll make the 8, he's done a fantastic job to keep us in with a chance. That's how I look at it.
Too right, probably the only club in the past 20-25 years that didn't need rebuild.
Whilst i dont disagree with anything said here, should he have achieved more?
Could someone else do better at the pointy end?
Is Scott responsible for the culture and for players wanting to go there or is it the club that has created that? i guess im asking would players still want to go there if Scott wasnt the coach?
Are they too accepting of their great minor round record that hasnt translated into premierships?
Yeah i know lots of clubs would like to have Geelongs record and it is a good one but it couldve been a dynasty

Breaking - Geelong has been fined $77,500 ($40k suspended) for administrative errors including non-disclosure of third party payments after an AFL audit spanning six years.

That'll teach 'em.

What a ridiculous fine. Completely over the top.
Won't be surprised to see this challenged despite a portion suspended.
AFL wont get their roof now.

Geelong midfielder Tanner Bruhn can now be publicly named as the player who spent the entire 2025 season facing rape allegations, with the court case against him officially dropped on Tuesday.

A suppression order had prevented Bruhn, 23, from being named throughout the season, during which he did not play at any level due to the ongoing legal proceedings.

The media blackout was sought by Bruhn to protect his safety.

The case was dismissed after a key witness admitted to lying, which led to the broad understanding that the charges against the high-profile athlete would be dropped as of October 1

This followed a two-day preliminary hearing at Geelong Magistrates’ Court, which examined whether there was sufficient evidence for Bruhn and a second accused, his friend Patrick Sinnott, to stand trial.

Both Sinnott and Bruhn faced multiple sexual assault charges, including rape, which they have consistently denied.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

It's amazing how often Hawthorn supporters say this or that doesn't count.
