We need to replace; Liddy Dittmar Adams Callinan Lange IMHO
Fahey and Mccarty does some of that.
Can Mark Ross bring in some A grade talent.
Every season seems like a rebuild, probably why we never really challenge the top teams.

Still no confirmation of Patton to Glenelg?
Has he had a change of heart with the new coach arriving and a few leaving the bay?

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
The South Adelaide Football Club is pleased to welcome new recruit Riley Baldi for 2026.
Baldi is a hard-working, intelligent midfielder who can rotate forward, renowned for his stoppage craft, work rate, and consistent ball-winning at VFL level. Such is his work ethic that he was appointed Casey Vice Captain this year.
In 2025 he produced regular high possession games during a strong season that saw Casey progress deep into the VFL finals series.
Just as importantly Riley is a good friend of Panther Captain Sam Skinner, also hailing from Moe in Gippsland.

Great.
Was always on the cards once he was congratulating players on facebook who had left the club.
Guessing he wasn't overly happy there.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
The Central District Football Club is today very excited to announce the signing of talented former GWS player, Josh Fahey.
Josh 21, stands at 187cm, played 7 senior games with the Giants after debuting in season 2023. Selected with pick 42 in the 2021 AFL Draft, Fahey, predominantly played his AFL/VFL football as a hard-running wingman/half back.
Before being drafted, Fahey starred for the AFL Academy against a Geelong VFL side in 2021 winning the AFL Commission Chairman’s Medal as the Academy’s best player.
After overcoming a shoulder reconstruction in 2022, Fahey broke through for his AFL debut in 2023. Josh missed several games in 2024 with a foot injury and spent 2025 playing consistent football in the VFL.
Football Manager Mark Ross had the following to say about Josh.
"Josh has speed, evasiveness, and a silky left foot which he uses to break the game open. We see Josh as a vital acquisition to our team as he will add balance to our inside & outside game. Josh despite playing a lot of football across half back & wing will certainly push into our midfield and is very dangerous forward of the ball."
Originally from the Queanbeyan Football Club in Canberra, Josh is excited to be joining his close friend Harry Grant at the Ponderosa.
We’d like to welcome Josh, his partner Monique, and their families to the Dogs.

We are going to need to do some serious recruiting to be anywhere near competitive next season.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Norwood Sturt GF odds on, for 2026, the GF that was supposed to occur in 2024 if not for some interloper…
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

INS & OUTS 2026
I would hope that we improve enough to at least give you a decent run. Boyd will obviously be the key to that but haven’t looked to have lost anyone of any real note yet and with the addition of Dittmar plus a few other recruits that should be very handy in this comp it should make things interesting I’d hope.pmackk wrote:Anyone going to challenge us next season i can only see us getting better few back from injuries a few good recruits can’t see us dropping much at all.
Glenelg will still also be thereabouts I’d assume and who knows how well the others recruit

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
A shame Montgomerie has left. That's a few leaving us recently in their prime. Jez, Montgomerie & Dittmar. Wonder how many would be there if coach was different.

This says more about the relevance of the SANFL in the current landscape than a rebuff of the Dogs. Montgomerie has Lange as a team mate at South Mildura. Both could play league elsewhere if not happy at the Dogs. Montgomerie was in the SANFL TotY and the State team and yet he is still happy to turn his back on the comp. The money would clearly be a lure, but once upon a time just to play SANFL was enough.
As the fans lose interest, so do players.
