Webster is very, very unlucky not to get picked ahead of Inglis.

The selectors and coaches love for Inglis is sorry i dont have a word for it

Hopefully he succeeds but time will tell.

Webster would walk into a,lot of other test sides starting 11

Unless he takes Lyon's spot it is very wrong.

Yes I know, Lyon's don't have spots.

LM made me check the respective stats

Inglis 4 tests 119 runs 1x ton ave 30. 1st class 3246 runs at 36
Webster 7 tests 381 runs 4 x 50 ave 35. 1st class 6253 runs at 37

So yeah Webster is getting the rough end of the Pandanas leaves (noting his time playing at Darwin CC as the interstate recruit)

I'm with LM now!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Add to that Webster's bowling, and the fact that he has delivered in basically every test.

Two of Inglis' three test performances were ordinary.

Russell scoed 102 of his test runs in one innings when we would've scored 1000 if we kept batting, and we were playing against an under 11 team.

The extra bowling option and the fact he has showed up when others haven't gives him the nod for me.

Yep agree. If runs were actually weighted Webster has definitely made the 'tougher' runs.

Also means we can cover 5 slips with just Green and Webster.

Who knows....only Cummins and the support staff would truly know.

Alot of people on social media getting caught up in the fact it must have been so bad because he wasn't named in the original squad. Not sure that really counts for anything. He may have always been extremely close to playing but they choose to keep it quiet a bit longer.

The squads they name in reality hold no official test team consequences so not sure why there seems to be a lot of commentary on that.

The way England bat he probably only needs to bowl 8-9 overs an innings
