Avatar wont show using firefox

A mate of mine is using firefox as his web browser but for some reason he
can't see his own avatar in forums, he can see everyone else's avatar ok, and he can see his when he uses internet explorer ...Any ideas why it won't work whilst using firefox?

Agreed, had to use IE the other day for a couple of dodgy sites and couldn't believe how much slower it is than Firefox despite having the same internet connection.

What do you suggest we use Dog_ger? I use firefox and have no problems what so ever.

I use Opera as my browser, and usually the avatars load. Just sometimes a few don't but I have never lost the lot. Some of the time it is mine that doesn't load, but equally often mine is OK and someone else's doesn't load. I had assumed it was at the server end. In Opera you can right click on the blank avatar and select "reload image" and it usually works - not always though.

I have used Firefox occasionally and not noticed any problem but I suspect it may occur if I used Firefox often enough.

Why use Opera or Firefox? Because IE - even the latest version - leaks like a sieve.

Sometimes sites, and site software, are written using proprietary Javascript shortcuts created by Micosoft, instead of complying with inernational standards. This causes problems with non-microsoft browsers. Opera reports the errors only. Firefox drops into IE emulation, which is just a little more risky.

Yes, that makes sense. I empty mine out fairly regularly though so it doesn't explain the issues I have experienced.

I don't care that it's microsoft anyway. I just care that IE is crap.

Firefox is so much better than IE its not funny, even if you're not aware of the other differences you'll soon notice the speed difference, I don't care if its Microsoft or not I just go for what suits me best.

Back to the issue, I used to have a similar issue with some avatars not loading, never really worried me but I remember a small tweek somewhere in my settings fixed it.
