Yeah they went the safe option but I said to my son before he bowled the last over that Zampa should be bowling, It was wet before they went off for rain and Zampa had 2/21 off 3.

Jamie Cox would have to be close to a captaincy role.

Michael Di Venuto, David Hussey would also get a run in the batting order. Darren Berry would have to be the keeper. So far i've got.

1. Jamie Cox
2. Michael Di Venuto
3. Jamie Siddons
4. David Hussey
5.
6.
7. Darren Berry
8.
9.
10.
11. Adam Zampa (maybe based on what he has done at international level in ODI's and T20's, not so much first class career)

Steakette went alright, although I thought he was ordinary Chris Tremain used to get wickets on a regular basis.

Yeah, I'd put him at 3 and move Siddons down one.

You're right, D.Hussey is a first class flogger, he ripped into me one day with some choice language right in front of some kids during an Aus A match.

I'd have Jimmy Maher, Trevor Barsby even Dene Hills before MDV

Dan Marsh and Paul Nobes are candidates for the middle order

Hopes Wright Sekar Noffke and Tremain all ahve claims as bowlers along with Davidson and Holland as spinners

You got me thinking so I went and checked, just ODIs and T20s for Australia 9which TBH is a fair effort.

Another middle order bat/alrounder who played ODIS but never a test was Ken MacKay in the 80s

From the rebel tours of the 80s you could Steve Smith, Mike Haysman and Mick Taylor who all made runs at the "international" level. John Maguire was a good bowler who was 12th man I think for Australia once.

Facing LeRoux, Procter, Rice and a young Alan Donald not a bad attack.
