I think Malinauskas has got the Writers Week fiasco wrong and in doing so has given the Libs something to work with, not often he makes a mistake and I think most of us are surprised by it. I'll be equally surprised if the Libs actually make it work for them, they don't get things right very often so this is a test for their spin machine to come up with something and make ground.

It won't cost him the election but it might swing a seat or two ( Adelaide in particular ).
