When he jumped, I was very happy with his position, as he likes to take a sit, then peel and go. However, when Rawiller eased him right to the rear of the field, I was a little bewildered. At the 400 he was still last but travelling well, at the 100 he was still last but really wound up and the rest is history.
The stable was very keen to have Rawiller onboard once we knew our stable jockey, Jake Toeroek, was unavailable.

Odds staggered me to be honest after our trial with Air Assault during the week.
SRM
Bubbles to win
Princess Que top 3
Angle Torque Top 3
$52.50 (Power Played)
I couldn't believe them odd's.

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion
I get that, however $50 on the tri gets me about $950-$1000 back, $50 on the SRM netted me over $2,600.Brodlach wrote:Trifecta paid $125carey wrote:Odds staggered me to be honest after our trial with Air Assault during the week.

I guess it's just the flexibility/security of Bubbles running 1,2 or 3, with that being said he doesn't win my SRM is done and the Tri pays far less.
I'm very happy with the outcome.

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion
Weekend Update: With forecasted high temperatures for Saturday, RV is currently monitoring conditions and will decide tomorrow whether the Caulfield race times are brought forward to facilitate an earlier start and finish. This decision will be made alongside race times for Great Western and Yea when acceptances for those meetings close tomorrow.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Michael mentions it was a great run, Space Rider won pretty convincingly, he was genuine and showed that he really wanted to win.mighty_tiger_79 wrote:Decent win Space Rider

He pulled up great this morning and is lovely and sound. The plan will be for him to head to the CS Hayes Stakes on the 14th of February at Flemington over 1400m. This then leads nicely into the Australian Guineas Group 1 over a mile on the 28th of February.
He will have an easy week on the water walker and then Michael will continue to build him up towards his next start.

Re: Horse Racing Tips & Discussion
It ran yesterday and was $5! Glad I missed it. That's a big step up from Friday grade into Saturday and at a VERY short price. Don't know where it finished exactly but from what I heard, it was mid/back.gadj1976 wrote:I blackbooked March Madness yesterday at Townsville R4. Settled last and would've won in another two or three strides. It's a 27 start maiden, but if that form is anything to go by, it will be winning soon.
