Yep, they’re both way ahead of the pack

Lorenzo Musetti at 23 is the only one with the weapons to potentially break the big 2 occasionally. I actually think he will get over Novak tonight or at least get one of the first two sets of him. The break definitely helps Novak though.

Ben Shelton might have the odd win against the big two as well but has a lot of consistency to find before he will do it more than the odd rare occasion. Best serve in the game right now though.

By the way, the ranking shows how well de Minaur has done, but usually the top 5 or so a much closer than now, so he could easily (hopefully not) slide down just as quickly.

Did not know which thread to post this in, but after tonight’s match it is very clear as long as his arse points to the ground, Alex De Minaur will never beat one of the top players in the world. He was in career best form, making some good players look ordinary, then gets blown off the court by Alcaraz.

Probably one of the fittest on tour, gives 100% all the time, but just does not have the size or strength to ever beat Carlos or Sinner etc. The only way he gets past the Quarter Finals in a grand slam will be if one of the top seeds in his side of the draw gets bundled out early unfortunately

Can watch any tennis, usually go to the Adelaide International, but couldn’t this year as the missus was in hospital.

Novak kissed on the dick, Musetti was going to win in straight sets but had to withdraw due to injury mid 3rd set.

Its such a shame because Musetti imo is probably the only one who could even grab a set of Sinner or Alcaraz.

On the other hand the women's draw has four semi finalists who could genuinely win it. Sabelenka hasn't always produced her best tennis in semi's which gives Svitolina an outside chance. Pegula and Rybakina are both the inform players this summer and could go on and win it in a similar fashion to Keys last year.
