I think it's been said before, but James Weir's commentary on MAFS. Hilarious. I don't watch the episodes and I don't need to. His write ups are gold.

Total Knee Replacement Surgery

3 months

Some progress has been made in relation to sleeping - thankfully! Although I preface this with the stats of sleeping for a total of 4.5 hours last night, broken into a 2 and 2.5 hour block.

I started thinking about why my medial ligament was really sore in the night. I looked back at what I had been doing and realised that putting my shoes and socks on in the morning was a struggle. I'd cross my left leg over my right knee and the pain from halfway down my thigh (adductor) to the bottom of the knee, through the medial ligament area, was quite restrictive and caused a dull pain. Even putting my leg across my right knee was difficult to put shoes and socks on.

So I researched it and realised that I must have scar tissue in the adductor from walking incorrectly for the past umpteen years.

I stretched it and did some weights at the gym and realised when I went to bed that night that the sharp pain in the knee had started subsiding. More work will go into it today at the gym in the hope that I can start getting some decent sleep soon.

Other than that, the leg curls and leg extensions have continued. Bike riding has continued. It is still noticeably swollen and blows up when I overdo it, but other than that I'm reasonably happy with the progress.

Surely your physio should have found this issue?

My youngest girls first ever football training…

She has no idea what is going on but the smile on her face is ear to ear.

She’s 10 and will be playing under 12s… should be fun. :)

Total Knee Replacement Surgery

Mini update;

On the weekend, I purchased a Manual 2005 MX5.

Something I never thought I'd be able to do prior to the surgery.

Very happy.

It will, due diligence this time and knowing the people and company very well makes it much easier. I've been dealing with them for 15 years.
