That rumour seems to have popped up every off-season for the past 3-4. And then inevitably they go on and win the flag (well, not last season).

Yep I think in all 3 of their premiership years they said they were not going to fill a B Grade side. Then went on to win the A's and B Grade premiership.

But I too have hear of most of the talent at Gumeracha leaving. How many points do they have I've seen two recruits on their page but not a lot more.

My understanding is they have lost a fair number from last seasons teams, they only have 7 points to use supposedly.

Interesting commentary at the GF by a representative of a club that didn't make the finals.
Clearly he's forgotten, or hopes no one outside his club knows, what happened after the 2001 season when someone had to step in and save his club from being in a world of pain.
I'd ask that someone to remind me of that yet again but he's no longer with us. That's alright though, he told enough people about it while he was still alive, including people not involved with the relevant club.

Going off the new rotation system aren't Torrens Valley hosting the Grand Final this year.

I would hope they are not considering playing a Grand Final on Mount Torrens Oval.

What are the other options for the HFL? would they look to move it to the next club in line? or host at another HFL oval that's suitable to host?

Yeah they were meant to be hosting it, won't be at Mount Torrens. Believe they are looking at swapping with whoever has it next year.

Driven past a couple times recently and looked really green and in good nick for this time of year, but that of course is not getting out onto it to see how it really is.

According to Facebook Williamstown oval offered to host their Mount Pleasant games but the club declined and are looking at other options. Not sure what other options they'd have in the Hills during the middle of winter for ovals that aren't already being played on and chopped up, including Mt Torrens. Springton or Eden Valley would be sentimental but can't imagine the ovals or facilities would be in great nick.

Shame Mount Pleasant won't get used for the GF. It hosted some great GF's in the 80s and 90s.

Birdwood would be next and that last hosted the Nairne V Bridgey mudpit GF 10 years ago.

Kersbrook and Angle Vale was ideally competitive for both clubs.
Brookers next one is against Elizabeth next Friday night for the Wayne Hughes Cup
