At this stage of our evolution* and with the ruck rule changes I'm going with Visentini ahead of Sweet although I think we may need to play both at some stage.

I was thinking both with one of the other two (Lord or Whitlock) not playing

Whitlock needs to play every game

Agreed.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I don’t remember him being a forward coach
It’s all good to stand up in front of a classroom with your spectacles on and draw on a whiteboard and teach the youngster the theories of being a forward but surely you still need someone who knows about the actual role of being a forward
Tredrea would be perfect if not for his ‘other’ stuff he has going on

Biggest furphy in the game, you don't have to have kicked 1000 goals to know how to coach forwards.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

You don’t need running shoes to run either but it helps……..

You don’t need to have kicked 1000 goals but 500 would be good

As a head coach and mentor he’s been great but he was in the system for a long time prior

The roles of coaches has changed so much that I think the line coaches are so important these days and they’re the ones who should of played the game

263 in the strong TFL there mate.

I can't believe he spent 18 years in assistant roles before getting a head job.

Then there's no excuse if your coach is a 3 time premiership player, Brownlow Medalist, 5 time All Australian and 5 time Best and Fairest winner.

See. ;)

I get your point to a degree but I think at Carlton we have the right people in the right places now and have given the players the best opportunities to thrive under good coaches.
Simple matter is we are not good enough with the players we have

I don’t think making Reeves the forward coach who has never coached in the AFL under a first time AFL coach is setting yourself up for success
