SuperCoach opened today so I'm setting up the leagues and sending out invites. Most invites will be sent via the SuperCoach 'recreate leagues' function so hopefully a bit less admin for me. Promoted and relegated teams might get a PM or email from me so if you haven't heard from me it might be because I don't have an addy for you. So PM me your email so I can invite you.

HOGG GROUP

The Hogg group is super helpful for your humble sc admin dude and is the best way to measure your overall greatness (or lack of) in comparison to all other Hogg coaches regardless of league. A group is only as effective as its membership though so the more Hoggs that join the better the group is. Last year we had excellent membership with only a few holdouts so hopefully we get that again this year.

It aint hard, just click on the join link below and you are IN. The top 40 scorers will be written up in a separate top 40 thread like last season with the top scorer getting added to the Hogg Honour Board at the end of the year.

If you have not accepted your league invite by then invites will go out to other coaches to take your place. Also, please note that head to head matches this season start in Round 1 of all grades regardless of league size.

While you're feeling all joiny and shit, please also join the Hogg group so we can all hold hands and sing Kumbiyah...or something like that until Adam Treloar breaks down after two matches and we don't feel like playing nice with anyone anymore.

Big news in Divvy V as our man stateside @Strawbis back in the Hogg. He reckons he's 'having a crack' this season so he might shock us all and win a game ha ha. Not sure they get that much AFL coverage in Ohio. Sorry Strawb.

Invites to replace these teams will be sent out on March 7. Divvy III might be cut to 18 teams so I don't have to send out too many promotion invites. Leagues Premier down to Div I are sorted.

It might be Divvy V but there were some cracking scores in the first round. Go Tiges was on fire and Hampsted Hawks and Random Crow also put in strong shifts to get off to a flyer. West Coast Wondersoff the mark with a low score but still got the win as the Suns did not shine in Divvy V. Some good scoring in this divvy but you can always rely on the Razorbacks to select a bunch of blokes who were never going to feature.

A couple of promoted teams made a statement with mixed results in the opening round of Divvy IV. Trades of Glory was stone motherless in this division two years ago but already Morgs has emerged as one of the contenders after a strong opening effort as they disposed of forgetful Divvy II entry SteveFromGuidance with some authority. Meanwhile, the Barras proved you don't need to be dead to be stiff when they got the third highest score in the leauge and were rolled by a team who got the second.

The mighty Hawkers haven't been all that mighty for the past few seasons but they certainly were in the first round of the season as they racked up an impressive 2443 to annilahate the Cats in the season opener. The Bye was a highly rated side pre-season and they showed why with a solid win but overall it was a surprising list of winners in Divvy III. Just as surprising was last year's best scorer Fly missing the starting gun for 2026.

There are quite a few newcomers in this league this season and most of them made themselves right at home at the first opportunity. After round 1 four of the top five sides were not in the league last year with the Divvy III premiers Persh FC stealing the show with an impressive 2397 to eclipse all comers in a solid win over Cobras. The match of the round was between Cossi and Cathy with the Carnts enjoying a slender two point win over Cath in what was a very unlucky start to her season.
