The whips are really cracking in Division II with some consistent scoring pushing the league ranking just behind the Premier League and well ahead of Division I. Paradoxically, the scoring star of this league, league leaders Failed Creation had something of an off week with thier scoring. But you know you are having a cracking season when you win ugly and increase your advantage over your rivals. Creation won a low scoring match between fellow top eight Underbelly while Greedy Guns got rolled in their top eight clash with Trotters. This gives Creation a handy two game buffer at the top to go along with his stellar 2026 Hogg ranking. Cathy creamed the wayward Wizards this week 2340 to make the Wizards disappear. Power Drules kept the heat on the top eight with a high scoring win but the scoring honours went to battling Next to Nicks who left wyc bloody with a 2389 scoring bonanza. Ugly Ducklings are making losing close matches an art form and she was at it again as Smashed Crab pinched the match to make it two on the scuttle for the sideways boys. Cobras spent up big to get Heeney two weeks back and was unfortunate enough for him to cop the out and that's just the sort of shit that consigns you to stone motherless in what is a highly competitive league.

It's been a funny old season in Division I and those head scratching trends continued during Round 7. Teams such as Zed, Indians and Herbs usually rack up consistent scores but for some reason this season aint the season and all three sides look vulnerable. These blokes are either acting the fool this season or they aren't acting ha ha. I know Herb had less guys not playing in his startup squad than Essendon on ANZAC Day so he's been burning trades to mend his side but the jury is out on Indians and Zed who are normally amongst the mainstays of the division. WIth the scoring low compared to previous seasons at this level, there is a huge opportunity to make the grand final and book a place in the 2027 Hogg Premier League. Porters have been knocking on the door for the past several seasons so it could be his time, ditto Slothy who has a proven scoring history and he's doing well again this year. GETOUT has emerged from the murky depths of previous seasons to stake his claim but a couple of sides who might be joining them are Horney and Kingsmen. Kingsmen have been scoring but somehow not winning but he's starting to collect the odd victory now. Horny got off to a glacial slow start but in recent weeks has started to get going. Horny very stiff to cop a three point loss to the Slothman last week....that's one crap ARC call for those playing from home trying to work out what the AFL has done to our game.

Buttered FISH is on the menu in Round 7 as the team full of Heady goodness upset the ladder leaders with a convincing 92 point win. The Premier League table is an absolute logjam at the moment with several teams that were in the top eight last week tumbling down the ladder on the back of Round 7 defeats. Roosters, George and Mediocre all tumbled a massive seven spots down the premiership table while the Sharks took a dive to plummet six spots on the ladder in the ultimate 'moving day' round for the league. When others stumble, consolidation wins become vital and the winning tickets were drawn by Hondo and the Captain who sit comfortably inside the top four now with the reigning champions rights up FISH's tail. The big scorers this week were Butters, top scorers The Dukes who are back in town and to top it off, Wiggs. Down the arse end of the ladder Yardstick secured what could be a vital win over Cowpokes that allowed the Yardies to scarper out of the relegation zone. DAISY is having a very poor season and it got even worse last weekend as he copped the lowest score and a heavy defeat to Hondo as they dropped into last place on the ladder.

After two months of play Doxy has one hand on the Divvy V premiership after he devoured TooManyChickens at a recent banquet. It was a comfortable win for the league leaders so Cox are going to be hard to beat this season. And it gets better for Doxy; other main challengers have gone off the boil. Go Tiges were skinned by Fine Wines and Random Crow had a close shave against the Razorbacks with Sadie's scoring well down on recent weeks. It was very much a round for mid table sides to lift thier game with West Coast Wonders rising to genuine contender status after a slow start to the season. Red Devils, Fine Wines and HereComesTheSuns all secured vital wins to keep their season alive. Apart from the top of the table clash, the other big match was the battle between Hampstead Hawks attempting to stall a slump against the Cellar Dwellars who are trying to stay one step ahead of the chasing pack in the top eight. In the end it was the Hawks by a point which Sam Mitchell would have taken if so given the option. The narrowest of losses has the Cellar Dwellars right under the pump with a few teams outside getting off thier arses and winning a game. More to come.

When the minor round for this comp is run and done it could be this round that has proved decisive for more than a few coaches. Port Fever resumed the lead as the late Ian Day would have said after they took advantage of a rare off day by Glory in the top of the table clash. The reward of course is the 'softer' Quallie which means promotion is that much easier. Fever remain unbeaten so far this season and were rarely troubled by Glory over the course of the top of the table fizzer. Another team who is buffing the bruises out this week is Fantasy Virgin. It was a brutal week for the maidens as Robsquad smashed Amy's mob in a brutal 314-point destroyation that saw Virgin tumble out of the top eight. Ginger Ninjas also got the chop this week as Guidance stole his top eight spot and Hodgey got the other available spot with another of the one sided matches of the round in a big win over Star Midfield. At the arse end of the ladder Benno's Beasts are starting to emerge from their early season snooze with Biker Babes no match for the Beastly ones this week.

While it was business as usual for the top sides in Divvy III, a couple of them stumbled in round eitght. One team was punished while another was. The punished side was Brad's Rookies who scored well but was on the wrong end of a three point loss to Sarah who kept in touch with the top eight with that result. It was a shocking weekend for the Rooks though as they fell out of the top four and all teh way down to 8th spot which shows just how close this league is. Meanwhile, another top four team stumbled and probably did not deserve their win was Pigs Arsenal. The genuis coach got too fancy with Watkins as VC that he locked himself into Zutters as skipper. Alls well that ends well though as The Bye couldn't punish the Pigs and their reward is 14fth spot on the ladder. The outstanding team of the round in this division was Hawkers who are flying high and into the top eight. It's been a few years since Hawkers had a winning team but they are going great guns this season and his 2367 beats most, if not all teams in the Hogg this week. One team who isn't beating anyone is Youngy who are now two games adrift of Adelaide Crows who look a good thing to avoid relegation based on recent scoring. Not so Youngy but, he's in deep shit and has been left behind.
