If this is referring to Paul Marshall (Seaton) I have it on great authority that he is 50/50 between Seaton and Portland, with no other clubs in the mix....
Maybe you could clarify this further Felch?
Im not going to speak on behalf of other blokes, especially as i dont know the answer.
As far as i know, he trained at Seaton last night. Thats about the extent of my knowledge on the issue.

I dont think he knows what hes doing this year, Seaton would have to be the frontrunner for his services though. Obviously, his wedding was occupying most of his time over the break.
Seriously, Heff is a great player. He runs in straight lines and knows how to find the ball. He did get smashed around quite a bit last season, played mostly through the midfield against bigger bodies. His weakest link would be his kicking at times (he would be the first to admit that too) Finished runner-up in our B&F.
hmmmmm, didn't he leave and play a year at another club recently? Played in a div 2 GF and only went back to portland cos one of his best mates left and went to play in the country.....Heard he wasn't real keen on the coach at that club either.....

Yeah, he did leave, you have that part right. Not sure on the rest of your story though, all sounds a little vague. He came BACK to Portland to play with his mates. Maybe he found out the grass isnt always greener aswell.....
If my info is correct, Heffernan played Div 2 for Gepps Cross. He, Adam Virgin, Chris Sims & Chris Griffiths left Portland to try it in the higher grade. Adam Virgin did very well but Heff and his Griffiths struggled, played mainly B grade. Sims played about 3 B grade games and surrendered, it was too hard for him! At least you knew with Heff you had a trier, his skills were a bit ordinary and I don't think Jackson rated him at all which made it hard. He's better off in the lower grade, he has a crack for sure!!!

Funny you say Jackson didnt rate Heffernan, he has definately been in contact with him since he has been in charge of Flinders Pk. Heff played alot more A grade than B grade - i believe he only played 1-2 games in the 2's, played in their 2006 A grade grand final team. None of those guys are at Gepps anymore funnily enough - Heff and Sims at Portland, Griff at PHOS and Virgin has retired.
Sounds like portland getting some old veterans back on the list, could be a good year for the thunder. As for heffernans hardness could not doubt that he is one of the softest players ever to grace port reserve.
