somehow Crafers P.S is smaller than i thought it was going to be... You cant seriously play cricket there, its a joke. 550 runs scored in the day and only 3 times were 2 runs scored. All the rest were either 1,4 or 6 (not exaggerating, have the book right here)
Plus the pitch runs east-west!

And for anyone thats interested, the u14 Fleurieu North team won the Country Carnival last week, think there were a few aldgate boys in the side from memory.

Reminds of a few games i played at Lobey Lutheran School Oval. Some blokes would be starting their run-up from the boundary cones.

Redcaps smash Baskets passing their total none down..... Lofty senior teams 4-0 in the new year 8)

Sammy Miles another ton in the D grade and the return of club legend Maddog Madsen returned 4/5 off 8 overs! beat Happy Valley by 200 runs who had previously only lost 1 game!

550 runs? Why so slow? We had 637 scored in 74 overs there before Christmas. Perhaps it needs a mow?

Agree the alignment of the pitch is a worry, but that's also the case at Churinga Rd, and apart from the side where the shed is located I think Crafers PS is actually bigger than SEPS and Clarrie.

some of these top teams that have been playing on the small ovals might get caught out litterally with the finals being played on real sized ovals...

nah just stating facts, back in the early 90's Stirling used to make the finals by hitting square on their small boundaries, but almost always lost the semi played at Balhannah as most of those shots were caught inside the boundary....could happen again to some of the other teams playing on small grounds....you naturally get used to the small boundaries

agree your mob will be hard to beat, but looking forward to having a crack in the finals should we sneak in...

Mt Lofty D Grade have hit over 800 runs in the last 3 games. All played at HHS which is twice the size of most ovals in the comp.

Cmon dutchy, so your denying a few of them love being a big fish in a small pond?
I know I50 has played A's and Wark did well at Sturt juniors indicating he could play A's.
What about madsen? Another big fish?

Fair bit of talent there for a D grade side... Or maybe im just underestimating the standard of the comp?
