So now a player they have recruited will have to go or play colts on the bench worth zero points. Most players and coaches are against the rule, yet administrators did not listen and it is now in with the can of worms it brings. Great Southern is a great competition, arguably the best outside SANFL and A1 amateurs and they bring in change. Unbelievable!!!! Clubs who voted for it, with the exception of Willunga and Victor Harbor should cop it sweet and not grizzle about it for the season, as they are the reason it is in.
also heard the GSFL have granted Mt Compass permission to play this Darling bloke as a 1 point player due to thee fact he has moved this way dont think he even has a Mt Compass postcode on his address, great argument for the Saints i would think

Hopnestly if this has happened all delegates should have an extraordianry meeting and vote the whole system out. That is crap and football followers throughout the GSFL should stand up and vent their spleen. Way too many grey areas and who is on this panel who has these special powers?

FM, what happened to Matt Size? Earlier in this forum you mentioned as going to Encounter Bay and that was the talk. He rucks for Flaggies and wasn't chasing $500! Hodge has been training with Victor and Morphett Vale are travelling nicely without him, although they have picked up James Harris back from VH.

Size verbally agreed to terms and gave the coach his word, was supposed to attend a meeting but instead sent a text to someone half hour after the meeting started -"not interested at playing at the bay" and that was the last we heard.
Apprently at Cove now and good luck to him...

Apparently Matt Size agreed verbally to join Encounter Bay after they had been courting him since mid last year. Did a back flip and opted out with a text message and has since joined Cove back in the SFL. From all reports is really struggling to complete a pre season training as well!!!

Can always pick it Hills. Not sure on hodge, its the case of the Victor faithful saying he's staying and the Morphet Vale followers stating he's back.

i havent heard anyone from M/Vale stating he is back and i can confirm he hasnt been training with the emus. I'd say he is staying with VH

Text message hey. Well I think Encounter Bay are better for it, as it would have been a huge mistake to recruit someone who communicates like that after giving a verbla undertaking. And now he has gone to a club in the same league playing under Anderson and struggling. A very desperate move by Cove one would think.

The fear ofcourse being that he didnt get the role and then would return to Willunga, I doubt he would've taken Portlock and co seeing as though they are 2pt players and ofcourse the fact i doubt he even now has told them of his previous coaching aspirations.

I bet the EB hierarchy are kicking themselves they didn't take Thomas while they had the chance. Portlock would have gone with him. Those two are joined at the hip.

If the Bays had a chance to get Thomas they would have jumped at it. Thomas was never going anywhere Grape Ape and you know that, while if Portlock was going anywhere he woulod have **** in Canberra and earnt a few more $$$$.

Bit of talk about Jo Pedler on the RMFL forum. If he was going to play anywhere in the country i wouldve thought it to be at Mypolonga with George and James.

Would be great for the competition if he did play! Victor needing some height and grunt around the place would welcome a guy like that.

To be honest the Bays have no 'official pick ups'. You'll see on the GSFL we have put two players in but yet to have them actually cleared. Possibly spending money purely in house...?

Things are very quiet at Bay land - just the way we like it this time of year.

This time last year you boys were all noise, maybe this was part the reason the bays did not live up to expectations.

Is young Hooper staying at the Bay this year? He is a big talent and will develop into a very good footballer. There was talk of him playing at Victor and of course South.

Not sure where this info come from guys, but I just rang our coach who is currently interstate with work, he said that Joel Darling lives in Marden and we haven't even lodged any of our points form as yet.

Kovacic and Heubner leaving Myponga back to Happy Valley. Myponga could slide a bit especially with Daniel Loots gone.
