Yeah, you could be right. But I do know that I was at last years Grand Final at Kilburn and also went back to Wingfield to celebrate. Some wanker king hit Chris because he did'nt get a game and the older members of the club did'nt do a thing. But speaking of form I guess that's what you'd expect from a club like Wingfield. Here's hoping for Ovinghams sake that Chris is there for a few years to come because the club does need stability above all else.I have'nt seen Chris in action prior to 2007 but I was impressed with what I saw on Grand Final day.

GEE CHRIS NEWMAN MUST BE SOME COACH, KILBURN WOULD PREFER HIM TO STEVE OCCONNOR DUAL PREMIERSHIP COACH IN THE BAROSSA VALLEY, WHICH WOULD CERTAINLY RATE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN DIV 10 NORTH OR DIV 7RES . VIRGINIA MUST ALSO BE DISAPPOINTED THEY APPOINTED GREG PHILLIPS RATHER THAN CHRIS NEWMAN SO LOOKS LIKE OVINGHAM IS THE WINNER AFTER ALL.

I don't know this Newman bloke, but I think we're still without a C-grade coach so he might have been approached to do that. I don't think he was suggesting that he was approached for the A grade job which was stitched up about half way through last year!

04 premiership Coach, I think I can understand why you were not re-appointed at Catland.

If I were to tell you that Heather was "shocked" when her son was nominated from the floor at the AGM because she didn't even know he was there at the meeting sitting in the back row, would you believe me?
You'd better, 'cause that's exactly what happened. Best you get your stories from someone with some credibility rather than the clowns who currently are giving you the 'half right' story.

Who do I support? You're the smart one, work it out!!!!

Do you honestly believe that Heather did'nt know her own son was at that meeting?Sounds like a bit of a stretch to me.Either way, thats hardly relevant. The facts are that you started a forum to bag Chris Newman and I would be very surprised if you even know the bloke.Do you know the old saying that if you have'nt got anything good to say, don't say anything at all.At least I have the balls to identify myself. On top of which,I don't remember you being at Ovingham in 2004 so how would you know why I was sacked. And you're calling me the smart one.
Heather deserves a great deal of credit for all the good she has done, but it's a shame she can't put the club first and stick around to help them out, whoever the new coach may be.After all,she put up with Dan Pye as president for a number of years and nothing could be worse than that.

Nah.What happened was that I did'nt see eye to eye with a few of the older heads at the club.So when we had the board meeting at the end of the season they all said that they would leave if one of their mates did'nt get the coaching job ahead of me.I did'nt expect there to be any problems and basically told the board that as far as I was concerned we could do without those players, but they did'nt see it that way.The new coach was a four time club champion, but as you would know, great players don't always make great coaches. And as I have already stated,I took on the job after no one else would do it and gave everything I had for the club, without any pay,and I felt I deserved better than for the club to call a player vote on who they wanted as coach. The vote never happened because I told them to stick it.As for Heather, she actually wanted me to stay on as coach but was scared of losing four or five players so the other dudes ended up getting their own way.I don't blame her as she was only doing what she thought was right for the club.In fact, she has done a great deal for me over the years and I am good mates with her son Locky. And I never came onto this site to bag Heather, rather I wanted to stick up for the new coach who's got a tough enough job ahead of him as it is without people like Heather leaving. As I've said all along, the club would be far better off with Heather than without her.
