Do you play for them?

Hey Wattle, things sound like they're going ok down at Ovies.Good news to hear that my old mate Klompy will be playing. He kicked 108 goals in Div 7 res last year so he should wipe the floor with C5.Hope the club can get two sides but if not just gotta win the flag and get more numbers next year.

Ive been out there having a look at them and they are burning up the track at the moment. Ovies will not be an easy side to make this year there are a lot of good players training for one side. There is a winning feeling out there before the season has even started.

if your saying only 4 would have played bs, id say 14, this isnt exaggerated as i played against then that year..4 would have played A s. allcock., cooke, payne(altho hes a little older, but IS a clubman, and didnt follow the defecters) the big red head ruckman and so on all should have played higher.

S.Allcock,Cooke,Matty Newman,O'brien,Bunceand big Spencer are all still playing for chris,if your saying they could have played div1 then you'd say ovies will have a good year in c5.How many goals did Payne kick that year?

It just sounds better and better for ovies i no for a fact Arnie won a flag at Ovies in 04 and last time i seen him he was looking like a tank and ready to win another one out there,he alone is a gun recruit

Arnie is a gun.I coached him in 04 and let me tell you, they dont come much better or tougher. If him and Klompy are linking up again then my money is on Ovies for the flag. Not to mention Baz,Rhino,MickoMatty,Locky etc

That maybe the case with Wingies not making the finals if the gypsies didnt play, but all they have done is left and let wingies self destruct a year later. If he is at Ovies for 2 years which will be 1 year longer than his last couple of positions then they will be back to square 1 again and we will be discussing them all over again!

Hooray for Div 6,7 or below. With the mentality of some of these posts, most of you guys deserve to be at the bottom end of the footy chain. Do yourselves a favour, go to a well run club for 1 season, take in all you can learn then take it back to the clubs like Ovingham and put it into action. I bet you notice the difference.
With respect to those coaches named, they never get a second chance (except KK, he had 2 cracks at Wingfield)because the damage that is done is almost always terminal.

I guess some of you guys just can't see the forest for the trees, remove the Cane Reserve blinkers and the lower grade mentality, your club is suffering because of it!!!!

Tiger, I am with you, spot on in every respect!!!!
Always behind the 8 ball
