Aldgate won CC Final by 3 or 4 wickets by all reports.

Interesting stat with the CC, is that over the last 5 years, the side that defeats Kersbrook has won, or gone on to win the Courier Cup

Has been confirmed. Hearing tuesday 19th.
Charges are -
1/ Excessive Appealing
2/ Excessive Sledging
3/ Not Playing within the spirit of the game
4/ Mis-conduct

Stay tuned for the Result.

4/ Mis-conduct= I think you will find that this was because a player placed some chocolates at the base of the stumps for one of the strath boys who was a little on the chubby side.

True story jackpot jim, an i also heard a that a certain hahndorf player was throwing freddo frogs at a certain big opening batsmen from straths feet whilst batting. but dead the umpire in that game has lost the plot, my grand father is good mates with him but he has to retire as he can hardly hear blatant nicks anymore

i think that only a few of the players will get games, i.e. the player who threw the freddo's, an a few other players who love a chat in the field, but not mark trafford walker, michael higgs, dennis raymond an those blokes who dont really ever say boo to a goose

Not knowing too much about it, was surprised to hear the whole team was Reported bcos as you pointed out, there are players in all teams that dont take part in childish crap that unfortunatley some players can't restrain from. I would think that the captain will take the majority of the Penalty as he alone is Responsible for the conduct of the Team.

As for your comment about the certain umpire, unfortunatley umpiring at ALL levels of the game from country up to Test is under immense scrutiny atm and the Age of the umpires certainly seems to be a common factor.
The answer is probably to get younger umpires but seems that any younger people that would be interested are still playing the game and when they finally finish in their mid 40s, they are almost too old.

haha i want them too leave because a couple of there players are absolute tossers and lose the plot on the field when they are getting beaten... most of ther team are good blokes.

i dont want a team in our association that is gonna act like that. They tried too do that sort of shit against us and JT smashed them all over the park. Its not on doing that sort of crap too a young fella who is in his first or second year of A grade.
i think its bullsh!t and im glad he got suspended..

Banker wrote:Is anyone aware of a team lodging a protest over a disputed result with the Mylor-Bridgewater C grade game at the start of the season? Im assuming its Aldgate Pump because of the ladder...

The game was washed out but Mylor bowled Bridgy out before the rain came, so the result points were split between the 2 teams, and the points for bowling and batting were still awarded to both teams.

It wasn't Pump - It was Bridgy. They just didn't understand the rule regarding bonus points (Rule 9.a)

Mylor Cricket Club: We did get some play in this game, so this should be reflected in the scores or both clubs miss premiership points. I believe Bridgy were bowled out for 90?
Bridgewater Cricket Club: the match was abandoned due to rain, there was not enough overs bowled by both side to constitute a game, also the official umpire called the match off, therefore points should be awarded evenly to both side's.
HCA: It is correct that both teams get their respective bonus points for any play that took place. Equally as the match was abandoned (effectively drawn) both sides get 3 points for the draw. In summary the result as entered is correct.

No conspiracy!

Sounds like quite a win for Palmer  If Cambrai won outright against Birdwood they would probably still make the 4 wouldnt they?

Lenswood beat Mt Torrens by just 5 runs to secure a finals spot in the A2s :D Other finalist are Woodside, Paracombe and Kersbrook.

Think you'll find Cambrai just shy of Palmer on points. This could the TV finals this week.

Shows that Aldgates batting is pretty thin apart from Grif and Coatesy....

You should be OK Banker, just beat them this week!
