GF tips this week anyone??
I reckon Onkas to beat the Gators in the A Grade, Galvin to take a bag
The Gators to beat Mylor in the B Grade, should be a cracking game between two sides with a healthy rivalry.
Going for the darkhorse, Clarendon may cause an upset in the C Grade.
Mt Lofty to win the D's against Onkas with T.Maslin to star

A Grade

Lobethal 9/201 (J.Sziller 30, S.Hughes 33, M.Wimberley 50, B.Pearce 5/48) vs Kersbrook

A2s

Kersbrook 8/320 (R.Kleemann 72, P.Neve 86, N.Pearce 83) vs Paracombe

Play to continue next week after Hot Weather Canceled Sunday's Play.

Kersbrook would fancy themselves chasing 200 I would have thought?

Disappointing that the games couldnt be finished yesterday. Hardly an ideal situation. Luckily it wont be 25 degrees next week for the fielding side.

Will be interesting to see how this goes now. If anything, mahy disadvantage Kersbrook as they would seem to have had the upper hand and momentum in both games, but now Loby and Paracombe get a chance to re-group.

A's Onkas
B's Will be the best GF of the lot. Too close to call. Pipers quietly confident though.
C's Who cares?
D's Will be won by a team with several blokes playing well below their level.

FA, it was mentioned to me on sunday night i could be a good chance to get a call up for the A2s. but the way i see it if i was to get a game id probably be taking the place of one of my two great mates in that side so ive made myself unavailable. i chose to play c's the whole yr, not just til i lost. wouldve been nice to have a 2nd chance at a flag though.

tips: A1: duffy and henscke to star for the gators and if kemp makes less than 30 we'll win.

A2: mylor to fold under the pressure of playing us again and we wont see a good game like last yr. gators by plenty. fleet could make some dangerous runs though.

A3: beside H.V prob my two least fav sides playing in this one. not sure what id prefer having clarendon the biggest bunch of cheating f wits ever win (but wouldnt have to see any of them again  ) or scibs, the more deserving and more likely team win (but have to see a couple of those tossers have a flag????? clarries batting is puss and scibs have a good bowling lineup, scibs by over 100. good luck to some of the scib boys though- red muff, dogga, and weygood. bout the only good blokes in that team.

A4: lofty;; go sammy miles hit another ton big fella bring up 1000 for the yr!
VOTE1 Tom Maslin for the seat of MAYO!!

Only guy you could really claim there is Sammy Miles, but is playing down there due to footy being the No. 1 priority, and dislocated his shoulder 3 weeks ago so isnt exactly 100% for the GF....all other players are around the A4 level and Ill add an average age of around 20....

A's
ONKA's
B's
Dont know
C's
SCIB's
D's

Exactly right Dutchy on the Sammy Miles call. Im sure if you looked around the competition FA there would be players for quite a number of clubs who could be playing a higher level. No need to have a dig at the man because he has dominated with the bat.

Bit of a contratiction there. Because he dominated he has drawn attention on himself and most people know he has played A grade cricket. He has to expect to cop a bit. But we all know he has an excuse....

...unlike GTS :o

Anyway, tips-
As- Onkas, Only because I dont want to see the bridge painted this year :p

Bs- Mylor- had a big wake up call last sat. Agars and Keels up from the C's will make a team that would challenge the majority of the A grade sides

C's -SCIBs. Clarendon are pretty poor on Mylor oval. SCIBs seem to enjoy it. Expect a rowdy crowd...

Nick Wark is playing Ds this week also with SFC having the bye in the trials.. sam miles is a good batter but if he makes a ton this week with his shoulder it will be a mirical, becoz if u touch his shoulder it pretty much dislocates. let alone having to smash leather around all day.
wark would walk (parden the pun) into any other A grade team in the hills, EASILY, hes one of the quickest bowlers ive ever faced, and being able to bench 120kgs he can smash the ball a fair way

haha yep and you wont find one person who disagrees with that. Just a pity that Dan doesnt actually like cricket  He only plays because his mates pressure him into it!

Haha yeah, at least he actually drives himself to the games now. Back in the day you had to pick him up yourself it you wanted him to actually turn up. Very lazy man, has all the talent in the world.

Yeah, it was Miles, Wark and Tucker I was referring to really from Lofty (although I know why Tucker plays D's). Most of the Onkas boys could comfortably play Cs too, or even higher.

Doesn't really worry me because both teams are generally full of decent blokes who are keen just to have a bit of a hit with a bit of good banter and not take it too seriously - which is probably the very reason they choose to play Ds. This year's comp was brilliant actually - barely a terse word spoken.

Certainly one of the reasons I play Ds.

The other reason is my batting average.

LOL @ all the stuff about Dagars above. LOL!

Silky - I didn't think Wark was horrifically quick when we played them. Have definitely faced faster.

Then again he'd done a pre-season run up Waterfull Gully that morning with Sturt and was in his 8th consecutive over when I faced him...

... and he still got me out.

No doubt you managed to get a few away to the fence before that though FA?

Yeah Dutchy bit tough on the man who will miss out but I guess if he is available you would wanna have him in the team.

On another note, does anyone know if Clarendon have won a flag before??

A grade: Onkas should win, if they can bowl out meadows for two low scores in a row they can bowl neone out cheaply!

B grade: Aldgate, in a close one. i reckon there will be plenty of sledging in this game and i dont reckon mylor will handle it well at all with a few fiery blokes like alan cooper Fleety and Bawdo they might just lose there cool. also have heard a few rumours agars wont be playing B grade and only played last week as a fill in.

C grade: couldnt give a rats

D grade: Lofty, dont know too much about onkas but lofty has a gun batting lineup Miles, Wark, Tucker, Lewis, Maslin and nielsen all capable of making 100+ scores and all have this year except lewis and wark
