yeah, hes still training as if hes going to play, well thats his intention at this stage anyway.
im not sure bout the locals, but think we have picked up a couple lads that had left and are coming home, i dont know them as havent been there long enough yet. other than poulton i think its just the few that are coming home again.
havent lost too many, carslake being the biggest loss but poulton covers that spot.
on paper i think there should be a little bit of improvement on last years team.

Moonta have picked up Goodie S  aints player Nathan Bell, a handy pickup too. The money should just about be gone now in my old home town. Go the Turks! In case you didn't know, before they became the Demons, they were called the Turks. (Now there's some trivia for your quiz night)

Is there anyone here from Moonta? We're heading up there for a trial this weekend and aparantly they've organised a refrigerated truck and a water/fan/mist tent for the players? If this is true, a very big thanks .

What time are you guys suppose to play Pag ?

Keep an eye out for a bloke from Moonta by the name of Gav Druitt - big bloke, probably playing FB/CHB/Ruck. Ex-Portland guy, great fella. Say g'day for me !!!

you will need more then a truck to stay cool up there tomorrow. was there last weekend and it was stinking hot. Should call the game off and go to the pub and have boat races.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Didn't make an appearance til about 5.30 mate but still rubbed about three litres of the stuff in beforehand...

Think Moonta did us by a couple of goals in the A Grade. Good standard game. The imports for Moonta were all pretty important. Bell played up forward, Ricky Hunter was good through the middle and Fromm was good down back. Matt Oliver was there but didn't play. No Winstanley either but is definitely playing up there.

They should play finals this year. With the amount of money about 10 of us put over their bar last night, they could get another couple of recruits for the season.

We were very well accommodated though, all good blokes and had a beer with a lot of them. The mist tent worked a treat too.
