Whilst sorting out the enormous amount of stuff I have in the shed I came across this picture which I thought was lost forever.

I'm not a Sturt supporter, and was only 2 when that photo would have been taken, but would be interested in who all these players are.

The ones i think i can identify are Davies, Nunan, Bagshaw, Adcock, Winter (middle row?), Howard, Oatey, Nelson..

Anyone got the DVD of the entire 1974 Grand Final?
I have only the last quarter on VHS.

The players that have autographed it are:

brenton Miels, Sandy Nelson, Trevor Sims, Michael Graham, Robbert Klomp, Keith Chessell, Greg Wild, Bruce Winter, Brenton Adcock, Rodney Mactor ?, Tony Burgan, Geoff Lauder, Robert Oatey, Rick Davies, Mike Nunan, Malcolm Greenslade, Tony Lloyd, Dean Aitkens?, Ken Whelan, Paul Bagshaw, Geoff Leonard, Ian Evans, Brendon Howard, John Murphy and Colin Casey.

Someone like Country Cuz could probably put them in L-R order.

None of them look bald enough for Colin Casey ;) (i mainly remember him from the late 70's/early 80's though) although i presume thats him 3rd from right back row.

I can't work out which one could be Michael Graham either.

I bow to the Sturt supporters better judgement but is that Flash back top right???

I say that given that it looks like him with hair given that it is a black and white photo enhanced with colour.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Nope! That's definitely Brendon Howard on one end and Robert a Barton on the other end.
Flash is an indigenous fellow and his tan was much better than those blokes I've mentioned.

Well at the time of the photo he was on his way to Darwin to play for St Mary's...everyone knows that!!
I know he played in the premiship team.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing. This photo doesn't appear to be an actual "premiership photo", could have been taken at any time during the year and theres a fair chance he may not have been at the particular training session when it was taken.

Michael Graham indigenous???

Gee having umpired him in Alice Springs I thought he was just well sun-tanned....

Just quietly 17 years after he last played in the SANFL he was making blokes half his age look stupid.

I bow to your better knowledge Rucci but I made my statement based on colourised black and white photos don't always show the true colour characteistics of the person photographed.

You're probably right that he would've of been back in Darwin getting ready for the season that still waiting for its Grand Final to be played....

The Sturt players would have been shocked to see him back in January for pre-season training

I reckon you've got all of them named in their spot Rucci - well done !
Flash is definitely missing from the photo and I would say it was a pre-season team photo as well.
