I thought Kersy paid nothing little or nothing to their players?

Correct.....Kersbrook don't have a millionaire at a club, and don't bring 1000 supporters a week to their games. TV clearly No.1 at this, and Kangarilla are one if only club that pays it's A grade per winning game. And they don't lose to many!! From 3rd to 9th would be close, with my money on Nairne and Kersbrook the bottom 2.

correct cougar... a lot of money at certain clubs makes it hard for the clubs which are mainly locals which have played there since juniors. It makes you feel good though when you see the clubs not paying much $$ out still doing very well.

I have seen many clubs do it different ways, One use to be no paid players but everyone used to get paid $50 if they won and that was back in 1996. (would have easily doubled by now.) $60K if that is true is a lot of money to be spending on a club for players, since that once the money goes/leaves/retires the club will fold. There still are some clubs that rely on the locals with some imports. Nairne, Kersbrook, Echunga etc. To get that sort of money involved in the club you would need to get everybody in the community involved. Why do they not have the netball teams follow the football teams in this league, I they way they run it now is just Stupid you would almost double numbers at games if you had the netball follow football around.

mainly because they built some 30 to 40 netball courts at woodside to centralise the main netball association

Kangarilla pay their players 30 bucks for a win, hardly a deal clincher for players to sign up.

$30 X 16+ Wins is nice dough for any average A grade footballer. Think you'll find that most average A grade footballers playing in Country Div get nothing. And if Kangarilla win 16+ games that's over $10000 of player payments going out, plus the players they have on contract. That's why I indicated that Kangy are definitely the 2nd biggest payers in Country Div behind TV.

u don't ned a big company to back you too make money, weekly gate 1000-1500, bbq shed 800-1500 these two depending on opposition. subs ,raffles other fund raisers all adds up. and then add in the sponsors. most clubs would be turning over 100k even in country div.the clubs who work hard to raise money shouldn't be penalised

Echunga by 10 g over the rams

Echunga too quick/rams top heavy but with 3 of their midfielders out.

Caine lynn a star in his last game b4 heading for Mypo..will be a big loss. Echunga will be a threat in dry conditions as once the ball hits the deck their off!!!

Seaess most Hills Football Followers know of Kersbrook's lack of match payments. With No current Oval or Senior Colts, Kersbrook have far more important things to throw their money at than looking after mercenaries. It's a credit to Kersbrook that despite being the lowest spender in Div 2 for numerous years now, that they continue to be the bench mark of the competition, having missed the finals only twice in the last 15 years. No other Hills Club has this record.

Caine Lynn will be a massive loss to Echunga if he is gone. IMO their best. And if I could turn back time, would leave Nairne out of my Pre Season Top 5 and bring back the Deez.

right with you there cougar kersbrook like meadows are playing majority locals, but every club has different priorities and those who budget to pay some guy's because they haven't got local players should be able to. mind you some should spend it on the visitors changerooms

Still can't get a clearance for the bloke. TV won't clear him.......and if you think he's playing footy for $$$$, well any smart man would say he'd be far better off at TV than Kersbrook!

Is he playing at all then this year? A smart man would say Kersbrook are keeping quiet what they are paying him.

If he's playing at all this year, it will be with Kersbrook otherwise he'll be sitting out a year of Footy, cos TV won't clear him. Um it appears you don't know your Hills Football Shrek. Ask anyone who knows a bit about Hills Footy, and question them if you were half decent at Footy, and wanted some coin, should you go to Torrens Valley or Kersbrook?? Cos that Question is a No Brainer!

Getting the Tips in Early once again.

Nairne B Vs Meadows - Meadows by 3 Goals
Macclesfield Vs Torrens Valley - TV by 25 Goals +
Kangy Vs Echunga - Echunga By a goal
Callington Vs Gumeracha - Gums by 2 Goals.

Any Thoughts.

Agree he is a very good player.... I would have thought that he was being paid and thus had signed a contract to play for the year..... not sure how he was able to negotiate his way out, but good for all if he wanted to transfer and Echunga let him..
