Im in the same boat, but since the game was on my own deck i made sure that i would set a pitch that would take those better players out of the game.

in todays league match went down

4/335 to 3/291 in reply

promising opening stand of 173 and opener scoring a ton
but didn't score the runs quick enough

bowling a worry, all bowlers going for 5.3 or more an over

my team chased down 305 in the 48th over, for the loss of three wickets.

Pretty happy with it, given that I forgot to update my team, so last weeks team got picked again, and since the last game id got about 5 guys of the transfer list that should be in the side.

05/06/2006 Sold Carl Murtagh Kunming Tigers £477,546 7,642
05/06/2006 Sold Danny Mcmahon Vipers £268,425 8,687

Two players i sold from the squad I started with, 700k for two players (murtagh had strong batting, however was 29, so im amazed he almost fetched 500k) isn't to shabby, im going to try and pick up some good players for around the 100k mark now, given before I had 3 decent players and the rest are very average, selling two for a heap should allow me to buy a good 6 or 7 decent players.

My teams currently second and have only lost once, Havn't played the top team yet, which from looking at his list and past games is going to destroy me, but I should be a chance for promotion next season. Hows everyone elses teams going?

yeah the market is just crazy at the moment, seen 17 year old respectable trainee's with low secondaries going for 500k.

I was lucky i managed to pick up a high respectable 17 yr old youth pull on the transfer market in the first week of the season for 85k, he poped to proficient second week of training.

heather, whats your team name (for a friendly)

my team is team noone if anyone wants to challenge me.

well im playing wedgie tommorow it should be a pretty close game if we both play out best lineups, our ratings are pretty similar. Only one of my 4 trainees is fit enough to play tommorow so that might cost me.

Sorry dude, I didn't realise it was someone from this site, I would have put my best team in otherwise.
Im undefeated in my league this year but wanted to give my youngsters a run.

Anyone that wants to challenge me to a friendly my team is called the Shoeboys but let me know if its a SAFooty person and I'll put the full team on the park.

Its a great game, now in my 3rd season and having a ball.

Mate your right there. The market is nuts at the moment. AT the moment im just building up my ITS and reparing my academy. At some stage im going to promote a gun of a player. But until then im concentrating on training other young player.
