Re: 2008 Hills Country
im very happy that josh has gone back to sturt.... good luck man child!
Nairne by 20 odd goals saturday in the wet was a good result i think, i thought the weather may have brought a few games a little closer.. but all results were as expected.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
Torrens Valley Vs Echunga.
Torrens Valley too good for Echunga. Just too big all over the ground. Echunga left playing with only 16 after half time. By the end of the game looked like only about 8 fit guys for Echunga playing. This game had more injuries in it than most have in a season, (For both teams) Several players from both teams doing ankles. The oval had pot holes and was very uneven. Would have thought the would have rolled the oval before hand. Maybe TV should have spent some money making sure they had a level oval, then they would have to worry about paying medical bills as well.
Tips For this week.
ROUND 8.
Meadows Vs Torrens Valley - Don't know how many were serious injuries for TV but still should account for Meadows.
Kersbrook Vs Kangarilla - Kangy by a couple.
Echunga Vs Gumeracha - Echunga by 10 goals +(Will rest most of their midfield one would think)
NB Vs Callington - NB hopefully.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
Oval has definately improved since the start of the year at Kangy, was very dry, and then suddenly had all that rain, and training etc churned it up, hopefull three weeks with no games will let it repair a bit.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
From what is looked like on the weekend, there will be about 10 players that will be on the side lines for Echunga this week. Might have to go to the pub friday night to see who wants to play... good old days.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
it just shows that the big $$$ men dont give a toss about the association and just play for the dollars... all they want is a weekend off when its association weekend.

Nairne will have to win this week before they start talk about being in the five after the first half of the season. Cally will be fresh off a bye and have a few players coming back. If Bond (who has been kicking a few bags), Sansbury, Jordan and Jenna fire up we may see an upset!
Nairne, Meadows and Callington all have the same premiership points and i think will be the 3 teams fighting for that 5th position.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
I would think Meadows would be the team that slips into the 5. All they would need to do is nock off Cally again and make sure they beat Nairne ( mosy likely ) I'd say at the end of the year their % would be greater of the 3. Plus from what I've seen over the past few years meadows come home pretty strong in Round 2.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
cracker of a game at Meadows today, doggies led all day just couldn't kick straight when the game was on the line.
23.11 tv
17.17 meds
Slattery kicked 9, including 8 out of their last 11 goals
TV played with the maximum 35 points today and a million bucks, perhaps the points system can include at least a dozen players must live in the town
any other scores????
