Yes well done FC

Well Modbury today played 2 good quarters of footy and only scraped over the line. Lets just say Grass Roots will have some funny footage for Thursday night.

Was a good game even contirbution across the board for the hawks and the Weeeeed almost lifted PHOS single handedly think he ended up with 5 goals

Well done to Modbury, lucky i suppose to play a depleted PHOS side.
I hope next time they clash PHOS are at full strength.
I thought Modbury were certainty's for the flag this year in Div2 but after scraping in today i have second thoughts, i give PHOS a huge chance at full strength.

It was an odd game with most of the goals scored in to the wind and PHOS only played 1 and a half quarters well. I think the return bout will be interesting as well.

mate just stick to your div one forum seaton had another loss by ten goals and i dont give a blue bamboo that you kicked 16 goals, today was the perfect day for footy.

modbury are currently the favourites for the div 2 flag, 7 and 0 record proves that, but each week is a different game! modbury again gave a team a 4 goal lead into the breeze in the first 1/4 but once again modburys second quarter was electric 9 goals i think it was into the breeze was fantastic, led by a matthew neve inspired 4 goals (3 in second quarter) the hawks are looking the goods. the weed kicked 5 and nearly stole the show but phos had no one else around the ''BIG'' fella to help, final scorecard prehaps a little flattering for one of the teams.

modbury 3, phos 0 today prehaps both clubs should have organised a triple header this round and the corresponding round, can only imagine it would have been a money spinner for both clubs!!!!

Do I have to lock the div 2 thread as well? :? There is NO NEED for personal attacks. Anyone is entitled to have their say on this thread, whether you agree with it or not.

Modbury boys - Whilst you have every right at this point to bask in the glory of your season thus far, can I suggest you blokes tone the gloating down a bit because I can guarantee you, if/when you do lose a game, you will cop it from all corners of the globe.

and if the "precious" syndrome runs right through your club, you lot will be the first to start whinging about being "attacked" and claiming innocence. It's one thing to dish it out, but it's not nice being on the recieving end..

Consider this everyone's first warning.

interesting game yesterday between towns and shocs. Towns led by 4 goals at 3 qtr time with shocs kicking 4.21 at 3 qtr time!! shoc kicked 6 goals in the last inc a Juniper left foot snap from 50 out on the boundary with 2 mins to go to get the win. Golding good all day for Towns, weird game with a lot of inaccurate kicking.

Must make special mention to the modbury b grade umpire yesterday, as part of his personal fitness campaign he decided he would take umpiring back up and umpire the 2's. 5 minutes left in the second 1/4 his hammy went TWANG and he hobbled around holding his right leg much to the amusement of the crowd, unfortunatly he couldnt make it out in the second quarter and his son did an admirable job in his place. rightly so the players add his name to the injury board after the game 4-5

I didnt see it as a personal attack FC - theres some history there and thats all it reads as some bantar between a foe from last year !!!

Just a side note as whilst handing out warnings please give yourself one for your "precious syndrome" statement !!!

Damn Grossman! Murdered us. Good game played hard but fair by Raggies.

6 goals to 1 in the first quarter probally won them the game. POsitives were we won the second half, much better display then agaisnt towns.

No. 6 would do well to find the footy more before telling everyone how good he is.

Just on Raggies - They must have some amazing depth in their lower grades and/or older guns. Smashed our (somewhat undermanned) c and d grade.

Looking forward to a very important road trip to scothc before the break. Definately one we MUST win.

Big win by shocs against towns, puts them in the 4.

Couple of big games coming up this week with Raggies and Shocs for 3rd and Modbury vs Uni's should be interesting!

Grossy murders everyone!

Good starts are Athelstones forte, come out firing and give themselves enough of a lead and hope they hang on.

Their lower grades traditionally have always been strong and are a testiment to the depth this club has but unfortunately in the past has chosen not to use..
