Where do the players come from though. Lets face it the high schools often determine where lads play. The Bombers are fortunate that Brighton High is down the road. Morphy Parks used to get most juniors from Glengowrie which is now closed and Marion from Dover (closed), Seaview and Mitchell Park (Hamilton). Hamilton now has mainly mature aged pupils and lots of kids these days who go to Seaview live nearer to Cove, Flaggy and Brighton. Just ask Aldinga about all the kids who live in their post code but go off to Willunga High and end up at Willunga FC. Wirreanda is the closest school to Hackham and it appears to be a Morphett Vale FC stronghold. Its hard to work out how they can attract players without the Packer family bankrolling them.

Yeah definately on their day they are still a great unit. Its got to be damaging though for a few of those guys to get knocked off by last years 2nd to bottom. Not taking away Mp's credit they have been great, just interesting to see how they respond..Reynella I mean.

Speaking to my mate who plays for Hackham, and he said that the Hawks had approx 15 players unavailable last week due to injury - any club (developing ones especially) are gonna struggle with that many players unavailable!

He was also unsure as to the final word on the Kelly's ie wether they have definately left or not, and he'll be finding out at training tonight. SURELY if they have left they would never get another coaching gig in SA!

think they checked at his parents house but he doesn't live there anymore. He was at the morphies / valleys game. Plus after using video evidence the tribunal seemed to think that 4 weeks was a just penalty. If this incident was as bad as what people have alleged then surely a far greater penalty would have been handed out.

Pretty sure Sam would be just happy to serve his suspension and return to playing some decent footy and hopefully cracking the league side at some stage.

I missed the article. How many games did he get. I admire the bloke for transforming himself from a very fringe A grader at Morphett Vale, went to Jervois, and then returned last year a different player. Whats the go with Jervois Emu subscribers. Do they pay big bucks and how did they tap into MV. Did Ewer know someone at Jervois and a few followed ?

because Sammy J. got reported for South, surely he can't now play with Morphett Vale? he must have gave that westies player a beauty. The article in the sunday mail made him look like a bit of a thug. I'm sure he would be still welcome down EMU land???

He would be more than welcome but i hope he gets to play league footy for all the hard work he puts in.If he did come back im sure he would be a massive inclusion into our A grade side.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Down the hill-Sam Mahoney has been at jervois for along time now(also an emu along with brad schmidt)and has always been a massive fan of Zac.Age difference of about 5 yrs but they played together in resys at south i believe.Massive money paid down their but im sure Zac is worth every penny.Zac is an absolute gun and i really hope that one day we can get him back at m/vale not only this his old man is an absolute legend of a bloke and it would be good too see him at the club as well.

Not to much talk on the Association game this weekend boys...What are the SFL's chances???
Anyone know or want to have a crack at our line up??
All heading out or giving it a miss....
I don't think our Association games are built up as much as others...Any reason for this....
If we played the GSFL would there be more hype??

To put it simply, bring back Lovelock Shield and they will find it has more appeal.

Lovelock fell over because GSFL got the grumps on (something to do with ages of Croser and Parker Shields) --- got River Murray on side and together they decided to go it alone.
Would be very hard to get it back, but if only we could !!

Looking at the sfl side in the messenger its a pretty awesome side in which i think will be very hard too beat especially if all reports are true that the amateur side is going to be made up of prodominantly 18,19 and 20 year olds.
