well you should be happy that mark drove like paul cav. thats what you like isnt it? but i'll asure you he wont keep doing it week in week out like him, so anyway how many winners have you driven? or are you just another one of those know all's that gets out there and gets caught wide and gets in everyones way?

get a copy of saturdays replays and you will c your number 1 driver get beat 33.10 metres in a race where he should have been 3 back the rails instead of 3 wide a lap from home.. its not hard to work it out, unless you`ve got s..t in your eyes..

regarding the drive, it was a bad drive, who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you just don`t like the bloke coz hes driving winners and your not........

From the stewards report on U Rippa

Approaching the 400 metres, OUR LUCKY KNIGHT which was racing wide on the track, hung-in against its driver’s efforts and contacted U RUPPA NZ resulting in that gelding breaking gait. OUR LUCKY KNIGHT continued to hang inwards against its driver’s efforts for the remainder of the event and this gelding was placed on its last chance to race truly.

Webster had no where to go, with a horse on his inside and one on the outside just laying all over him...

In terms of handing up - when was the last time Our Lucky Knight was 3 wide without cover at the bell and still keeping up at the 600m, let alone winning a race

The decision IMO to hand up was right, given the agressive drive by G Rogers on Ultimate Legacy, if M Webster kicks up, then they would have gone very quickly down the back and put him out of play anyway.

BTW - I anchored him in all my quaddies and lost quite significantly on it, and I still don't think it was Mark Webstars' fault.

MT79 - Our Lucky Knight ran his career best race IMO, can't blame M Webster for that, it happens.

Excluding Friday night, in his last ten starts OLK has been caught in the death from barrier 2 once for a battling run beaten about 15m and 3 wide without cover at the bell once - when A Chapman drove it on Reinswomen's Challenge night and the h... h... animal she trains on it's back    with OLK being beaten about 20m and her stable runner winning. (Surprised A Cavallaro didn't make the Iron Man top 10 list based on this kind of driving if P Cavallaro is top   )

The horse has recently been driven as a sit-sprinter every time Kerry Green has driven it, except when she had a crack for the lead from 2 and got caught in the breeze. Friday, when 3 wide on the back of a 40/1 pop and the even money favourite in the breeze - it's a reasonable expectation that the fav won't hand up at the bell. BUT when Webster handed up and she was stuck out there, I thought it would get beat about 20m and U Rippa would win...

U Rippa didn't win and just like King Cullen losing, that's racing - All punters i've ever met (me included) have sob stories so my theory is build a bridge and bet on the next race or if all else fails QLD in the Rugby League tonight :D :D and don't worry about things in the past you can't change
