are scotch gone? Pembroke appear to have lost some resolve.
Uni PNU a draw anyone have a review of that game?

Modbury were never gone they played fairly well against Edwardstown but just couldnt put the score on the board and to towns credit they did and pinched in the last couple of minutes. Loss probably came at a good time just to re focus the lads.

Scotch were average poor skills and no real structure(well not one that worked on the day). Positives for Scotch this season are definately the 2 trainers. They were great, worked hard and all at the ground appreciated them being there(something to look at when the game was won)

What has happened to Uni. I heard they had some big last minutes recruits? personally i wanted PNU to win and humilate the trust fund mob.

Are PNU a serious chance to jag a finals spot??? still 3 games out but form would suggest not far off upsetting the top teams in the run home.

I caught this game, which is very difficult to review. Uni smashed PNU at clearances however PNU's defence was fairly solid. PNU made some skill errors, however Patfull was on fire taking plenty of overhead grabs and pushing it forward. PNU seemed to have the game won, leading by 4 goals with 5 mins to play however Uni had a late surge and were unlucky not to pinch it in the final few seconds. Was a brilliant game to watch and even though a neither team deserved to loose, its still a very strange, sombre feeling at the game when it ends without a result. Credit to both sides.

Funny thing with a Draw- depending how the season pans out you could be half a game in or half a game out of the five .

Much the same as a win or loss except a full game in or a full game out.

I'm guessing they're playing SMOSH. What's the word from the Bartley Tavern NM? How many injuries this week?

I watched pembroke on the weekend and unless there are some changes i would be suprised if they won a meat raffle at the local let alone a game of footy. They did really appear to lack interest in the contest except for a few. 1 being the ruckman who appeared to bust his gut all day

Read back to some previous post's about Athelstone losing some players on the weekend. Will they pull up for this weeks clash? Not sure if Modbury got through the Scotch win unscathed either.

Yeah could be a few changes for the hawks but the depth looks good. Athelstone pushed the hawks last time so will be interesting to see where both teams are at now.

Have to agree with your top 4 hawks21, it wouldn't surprise me if Edwardstown upset PHOS.
Sorry but can't agree with your last tip, i think Pembroke are overdue, nothing against SMOSH!

Good to see turbo has gone quiet. His ears must still be ringing after the ping in his hamstring last week. Even thou i no it hurt, i still pissed myself laughing as did most people at the game good work irish and happy birthday.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Final Results,
Uni's easy over Scotch.
Edwardstown over PHOS " upset "
SHOC over Payneham.
Athelstone 3pts over Modbury "surprise"
Pembroke over SMOSH " as predicted " SMOSH i'd say ready to be relegated!

SMOSH v Scotch August 9th Round 17 looks set to be a belter of a game for relegation.
Who will it be?
I might just show my face to that game to see who is really the worst side in Div 2 for 2008.
Anyone care to join me, i'll be starting at the Bartley Tavern

Saw the Athlestone Modbury game on the weekend. Pretty impressed by some of the Raggies lads, Jared Trish was one of there best i would say took some good grabs and controlled his usually firey temper very well. Modbury could have won it but once again didnt capitalise on there chances. Dont want to take it anything away from Athelstone though. Fought hard for there win.
Once again some interesting words from there coach. The words i want gunning on a stretcher were over heard. To be honest listening to him during the game and quick chat after I dont think i have ever met a worse bloke.

Good win to the Raggies, shame I wasn't there to see it  Sass, could it be that the opposition has finally worked Modbury out? or are your injuries worse than being let on?

Have they peaked too early? SHOC are only a game behind you now..

Modbury are the hunted now so whenever teams play them they have nothing to loose.

Game could have been over at quarter time but modbury were about 4 goals 7 to 1 goal. lost a key playmaker witha hammy in the second quarter and half forward with a knee. few out injured but no excuses mind you the free kick(including 25m) were a joke 44 to 21 Athelstones way.
