A solid win by the emus yesterday. Its almost a positive in itself that you can win by close to 10 goals and still feel that there is lots of areas to improve.

Reynella came out in the second half and kicked the first 3 goals but from there they pretty much went down without a fight. From the sidelines it looked pretty evident that they just arent playing for each other. Will be a tough ask for them to turn it around in time for finals. And just one for the rumour mill - looked to be a couple of top quality former players who are currently plying their trade in other leagues enjoying a few ales back at the club Sunday night.

disagree with you swooper although reynela were beaten, quite comfotably in the end, i believe the reynella players looked like they were working well together and certainly gave their all. I'd admit some of what i;ve seen this year the team hasnt gelled as the coach would have liked. improvement like this over the next month will give them a shot in the finals, even if they finish out of the top 4. time will tell. cyclops i reckon the b grade side will much different come finals too, players are still to come back from work commitments and injuries. It will be a really tight B grade finals series.

Fair enough. You see alot more of the Barcodes then i do. But i think they would have been better served trying to hang on to Sitters rather then chasing / getting those westies blokes.

In response to your question Cyclops i think i might just sit on those names for the time being. We will have a whole summer to speculate!!

depending on who makes it back in the A grade, this willl push numbers down to the B's, as well as the middles brothers I think they will be back (as far as i know) but all clubs do have injured players and unavailable players, they would realise this and it's certainly no excuse what so ever. Both sides just off the pace at the moment. There are some talented youngsters playing well in the B's at the moment, not sure of their names but they really get in there and give it a go.

Big game this week boys with the Bombers heading to Reynella. Bombers not receiving any fanfare since a slow start to season but have destoyed every opponent in last 9 games by margins only matched by Cove. Reynella's ageing "stars" may struggle with the 6 day break.

Did see in the paper that the bombers touched up porties. Good effort that as they had been playing some decent footy. Brightons rise in form seems to have co-incided with the return of Hotdogs on the forum.....surprising he hasnt claimed some sort credit for that. Valleys & Brighton look like they will be the 2 danger teams in the finals.

Hot Dogs is a big game player and thats why he usually only appears around the business end of the season. The designer jeans and turtle necks will be out in force amongst the trackie dack and ugg boot brigade this Saturday. We may even bring our own Coffee Machine.

Hard to believe that reaction from the guy I know to be Hackham's President. He doesn't appear to be the type of bloke to reply like that. Before making a judgement on the guy I'd want to know these things--
1. Was it actually the President ?
2. Were those words actually the answer ?
3. How was the query put? If there is no proof that the culprit(s) was actually part of the Hackham club, and he got the tone of voice that inferred the Hawks were a bunch of crooks including him, the reaction would be understandable
If in fact he was asked nicely if he could do something about it and those were the words he repled with, then his reply was indeed disgraceful, but you've got to take all factors into account.

First of all, I would just like to say to the Lonsdale boys "Look in your own backyard before accusing your neighbours!"

I was in the changerooms when the questions were asked.... Yes a senior player came in, and yes he questioned the Prez.... Said that some jewellery had gone missing and a player had his bag and jacket taken.... Don't you lock the changerooms was one of the questions.... To which Prez replied "Why would we lock the changerooms? How do the trainers etc. get in when they need to? Dont you guys have a valuables bag?" To turn around and say that his reply was "What are you gonna do about it?" is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard!! The players reply was, and I quote, "It happens every f***ing time we come here, it is f***ing low from a club who is trying to get past players to come back!" To this I say "BULLSHIT!" Not once since I have been involved down at the club has an oppositions stuff been taken! Lonsdale are in the same boat as Hackham and a lot of the players are mates with the opposition players....

The president and myself actually went looking for the "Blue bag" that had been taken and we could not find it anywhere.... This sort of s**t really pisses me off! Immediately Hackham gets blamed for taking the bag! The player in question, whose bag was taken, is a top bloke and actually well respected amongst the senior group of Hackham players!

The player actually apoligised afterwards for the way he had handled the situation, and said it was in the heat of the moment!

Unless you have your facts 100% correct, then bugger off!

Ha. There was a espresso van brought in for the big clash yesterday. From my viewpoint it didnt look like it was doing too much business amongst the Emu and Winefly faithful for some reason.....

Hills actually plays in another league Hawk so i think you need to get your facts right before you start slinging shit at us. To be honest i wasnt even going to bring it up but it is a fact that players gear was stolen and bags rummaged through in BOTH grades on saturday. First time it has happened this year.

Just like I thought Warrior. Knowing your Prez I can believe your version much more than the rantings of a guy who wasn't even there. It looks as though the Hawks handled it the best way possible under the circumstances.

Ummm.... Not once in my post did I sling s**t at Lonsdale.... The only possible piece of literature that I wrote that could give you that idea is the whole "look in your own backyard" comment.... When the president of our club is working his arse off to improve things and some fool comes into a public forum and without knowing his facts has a huge go, I have a go back! I am quite aware that Hills does not play for Lonsdale! I was clearly replying to his post!

In my post above, I actually make reference to Lonsdale being in the same boat as Hackham, having a lot of players who are mates between the two teams and also that TG is a well respected bloke.... So if this is classed in your mind as "slinging s**t" at your club, then maybe you should think again!

Hence the closing line "Unless you have your facts 100% correct, then bugger off!"

Reader, I would say Morphett Vale are still the bench mark of the comp but believe the pack Cove,Brighton and to a lesser assent H/valley have raised the bar this year and all will be competitive come finals time. As I have posted a number of times Brighton are tight and have a great work ethic and believe have the cattle to get over the line. :)
