Your dead right shoe boy most top teams/coaches would give up home games and play them on the finals grounds this time of the year.
If their ground is not one of them of course.

Speaking of the Cobra's notoriously brittle finals record - i wonder how their psyche will be affected IF they roll in to the finals undefeated?

Do you think being undefeated makes you more confident, or does it put even more pressure on a team to do the business???

This was discussed just before finals last year as M/Vale faced the same scenario. Cant remember what the outcome was other then plenty of arguing between forum members.

For what its worth i think it must subconciously create some sort of added pressure as you always hear about teams going through the season undefeated only to lose the grand final. Not sure how else you could explain the frequency that this tends to happen.

Of course if you do go manage to go through as undefeated premiers then it would probably make the accomplishment even sweeter.

Your sources aren't that flash then mate cause they forfeited against our 18's only a couple weeks ago, not sure why we were drawn to play them this many times so closely but they have forfeited 3 times against the Emu's this year... The league will not make the call that is required on this club so we will be here in 12 months time discussing this same issue...

Yes Swooper if you are mentally frail then the pressure of an undefeated flag can get to some... You can't tell me that when the game is being played that in the back of your mind you are thinking about what has happened prior, Grand Finals are won on the day by the team who wants to win it the most, it is that simple...

My question to you is how many undefeated teams winning the flag do you hear about..?? Not many, if any, you just hear that they have won. The number of sides winning flags undefeated would greatly outweigh the teams that lose 1 game for the year, it seems more because you hear about it everytime it happens...

Would be interesting to know if hackham are paying the fine when they forfeit the games. I thought it was around $250-$300 a forfeit. Adds up pretty quick if you do it 3 or 4 times a year. SFL said they where going to be very stricked on it. I think it was also $1000.00 if you pulled a team out mid season.

Hawks are struggling hard trying to lift themselves out of the ditch and stand up on their feet. Lets try and give them any encouragement we can instead of knocking them down over petty issues. I admire them for their determination to stay alive.

Cheers for getting my facts up to date mex.Its fustrating to have to play against clubs like hackham when you dont even know if your juniors are getting a game.Must be even more fustrating for the kids who are hanging in there not knowing either.Lets be completly honest any clubs who can not feild ALL junior grades need to be looked at and asked is it in the leagues best interest to continue to include these clubs.Harsh i know but you try recurting good players from other leagues. its hard. because the sfl league has a bad wrap from those out side it
