Not sure how much, but you saw what they are rumoured to be offering on the turf forum.

Rumour at this stage as nothing is set in stone until round 1 is it ? They are pretty confident of getting their guys so we'll just have to see how it pans out.

On another note - Salisbury West possibly getting a gun batsman back....maybe as captain, if he doesn't decide to play turf with Ozzie.

John McInness has been pursued long and hard by a few clubs over the last few years. At the end of last season he was 100% playing for us next year. Perhaps Rocco/money/opportunity wore him down. Justin Davies might be considered an all rounder (would be the only other one from grade 1 you would consider an all rounder anyway) and would, IMHO, have been more likely to go and play at AHOS with ozzie.

Which club, i know para hills are falling apart with a possible exudus which has been mentioned on a previous post. My guess is that chad Mc and Fracka are the two looking at kilburn but John could be the other with chad maybe not playing at all

I can't really say at this stage, we are still negotiating at the moment, I don't think that their club from last year knows about it yet. We have chatted to a Para Teachers player aswell who is giving it some thought, once again, I don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot if word gets out.

We basically need someone who can open the batting and someone with onfield leadership qualities and then we'll have a well balanced side, we have a couple of good juniors who'll probably slot into the A's before too long.

It didn't really have an affect on us, we were always going to be in grade 2, it may of helped us by being 6 teams for the lower grades, our B grade is now in div.4, we have gone up from div.7 in 3 seasons, we haven't been outstanding each year, just done enough to get into the finals and have had a good blend of experience and youth to do well. Div.4 will be a good challenge for us, we'll need more commitment across the board, we had many changes during the course of last season, I think we used 35 players all up, that's including two byes.

Overall, we weren't fazed which way they headed, there were good points for either argument, infact, our club didn't even vote on AGM night for this topic.

How did it affect you guys?

I personally was happy it stayed the same as i felt with the proposed structure of the program it was going to lend itself to complaints and faults, if they kept it an even one and two day comp i think they were going to play some sides twice in one dayers and not others if they went to a 5 two and 10 one then i believe there would be too many one day games and make it difficult to give all players a fair go on a sat.

I'm hearing you there, we have a club rule that you can't bat lower than 8 if you don't get a bowl (unless you are a keeper), One-dayers are a killer for giving everyone a decent go, especially if you skittle the other team out for bugger all.

Quite often the number 5 or 6 will play no part in the game at all.

Someone else has been doing the groundwork there, there is actually two that spring to mind who have mates that play for us, both would be nice, one would be handy though. I'll tell all when that piece of paper is signed.

Great cricketing username there mate, apparently Shane just wants to have a few beers and watch his bro this year, he'd have to be the best player out there though since the big fella went to Sandy.

Sounds like they will be quite a force in Division 2, picking up one maybe two players from Para Teachers
