Kudos to Kilburn, they just continued to chip away at Iggies' lead in the last quarter and never stopped having a dip. I presume it had something to do with the bake they copped in the huddle at 3/4 time!!
Well done to Kilburn, I thought it might have stayed a tight game, it was even stevens when I left. Ocker had a crack at quarter time as well.
Boozehound what happened on Saturday? EP kicks 28 goals and their superstar in the goal square only kicks 2. I would have thought that with 28 goals scored a few more would have slipped off the back of the pack into your eager little waiting hands, especially in the wet.
After this and last weeks performances the question must be asked, is your spot in the team secured for the finals?

Doubt that will happen, I wouldn't think the league would be out targeting clubs to close down. However, with their lack of success, players may go elsewhere and they may not have the teams to field.
Would be a shame for the U18's coming up, they look like faves for the flag. Good bunch of kids too...
Actually the s/west story is true. The League has asked them to come up with a workable plan to stop their on and off field problems or they will be booted. That is from one of their players.

as a supporter of the club donners didnt spend much time up forward to our shock he played as a on baller and played it very well plenty of centre clearances and must of had 25 touches i believe was keen to try some different things before the finals but sure the big fella will be put back in the goal sqaure.
Your coach must have read this and thought you needed some fitness!

You criticised me for my preparation for last Saturday's game and in turn I have criticised your preparation for the season. If I was an EP player I would be annoyed that my assistant coach wasn't putting in the effort that I was.
I did the whole preseason thanks shrek, we all can't be built like greek gods you know. I smell a quarter pounder and I put on a quarter of a pound. I can sprint and recover for longer than most because thats what I do in a game. Also beer tastes really good and that doesn't help.
Mate I was having a laugh about you taping the wrong shoulder.....it's funny. haven't you wondered who my source is that would have told me this?
Glad to see he is taking notice of what I say on here. I was just worried he might fancy himself in the goalsquare than the out of form boozehound for finals. I don't think we'll see boozey in the middle again as SW are probably the only team against whom he could get away with it.
As far as Salisbury West go I thought they were fine to play against. Probably a bit unfair to kick them out now they have improved their behaviour.
I see Walkerville didn't buy a home final and Walk. v Para Hills will be played at Salisbury. Obviously Walkerville thought they are a better chance there than on their small boggy oval. I didn't expect this as I was told by one of their players that they weren't top heavy and their size didn't matter in the wet because they were hard at it.
Their choice of oval speaks louder than those words.

They probably might have tried and failed, the oval is a disgrace..
Iggies down and out of the finals race after a heart breaking 1 point loss after having been 5 goal clear earlier in the game.
It's no wonder they couldn't get over the line with such a slender CHB in Tyson attempting to man the back lines. If it weren't for his butter fingers that resulted in Kilburn kicking a number of goals, Iggies would have been finals bound! Who'd be a backman.....!

Maybe, but if it was their decision it was gutless. Says to me that the Walkerville heirachy were spooked by the last Para Hills game and don't believe Walkerville can fight it out in the wet. Shows a severe lack of faith in their boys. One loss in the last 11 games and they write themselves off in the wet. Big underlying attitude problems at that club.

Thought Tyson was ok He had plenty of help Iggies played a 7 man back line then a 8 then a 9 When they needed a goal there was no one down there to kick one
Shrek, give me a reason why I should stay and watch Flinders Park/Kilburn after our Bs rather than go back to our club, put money over our bar and watch Walkerville v Para Hills
Agree about the Walkerville point. If it rains, their best side is too tall.

You must drive really fast Pag, it'll be the 3rd quarter by the time you get back there

Yeah I know, but we have the thought of watching Para Hills losing as motivation...
It's your duty as the div 3 writer to cover the best game Pag!
I might have to take a few hangers this week and I'll even buy you a beer after the game. Maybe you could run water to as part of your transition to the real black and white team in 2009. Riggs feels a little lonely as the only ranga in our team.
God knows why I'm trying to make you hang around though.

Haha, I wish I was writing that column mate, could've said some nicer things about your footballing ability. You weren't covered enough.
Might hang around, hopefully if I have enough to drink during the 2s I won't be able to drive back for while anyway.

We we will see wont we. Really enjoyed it on the ball. I reckon I could run for as long as willow no worries......
