how much does it cost for a home prelim final? With the attendance at the last Edwardstown vs SHOCS being a huge crowd of close to 69 people for the day (not including the players on the playing surface in the A grade but including B grade players that stayed to watch) I think you will find the answer why Edwardstown have not bought the prelim final

this is the major problem they have at Edwardstown no support so no takings. If it continues like it is there will be no EFC or a dramatic fall from where they are

yes bandar but who gets the bar and food revenue. The SAAFL with its volunteers manning the stalls at Thebby and the footy club at ST Marys so more advantages to sell more to a bigger crowd at Thebby for the SAAFL

this is nothing against you modbury lads but at smosh we got told by the SAAFL that we did not need tickets to the game, Only to show up on the day and see a $5 fee. Thanks SAAFL. But back to footy Modbury did a great effort in making saturday run smooth. They hosted a great day. The crowd was good a touch quiet in the first game :D . But congrats to them for making Div 1. Towns will have to regroup to face a surging shoc outfit.

True Kenilworth would be happy with what ever they get. Part of the catering at Thebby goes to the club manning it about $1000 I believe the rest back to SAAFL if there is any more. The answer we got when we asked why our game on the weekend was at ST Marys rather than Thebby was the fact SHOC and us were closer to there than the div 4 teams which was Portland and Princes.

Has it been a gradual drop in support at Towns ore a more recent event?

it has been declining a lot over the last five years with the last 2 or 3 being a big decline. There is always a huge turnover of players which doesnt help.

Yeah that was a mistake. The volunteers on the gate charged absolutely everyone even our players and umpires. It wasnt a great start to the but you blokes played well and your full forward is a gun no doubt about . It ended beautifully though and was well celebrated with one eye focusing on a fortnights time....

yeah the young lad can play. he is only 17. Cant wait to see him do a pre season. This weeks B grade should be a great game against Smosh and Phos, During the year both sides had a win. Be interesting to see if Sandford will play B grade again. Thought he retired after a sickening shoulder injury. Smosh has a few injury concerns. they had the trainers working overtime during the game.

SHOC's would be happy to be playing on St Marys for the third week in a row.

I'd suggest SHOC's would be very bloody happy with three in a row @ St Marys, will give them an unwarranted 'home" ground advantage...

Looking over the results Towns are 5W / 4L at home & are 9W / 2L on the road, that probably explains it, along with not much in the way of $$$$ floating around...

Sandford will play B's on the weekend, not sure how he has qualified but he was doing the recovery session with the B's Sunday morning as opposed to drinking pi55 with the A's boys [who must be shattered about their finals series]

I'm sure Golding [Towns] will be interested in SHOC coach Sandercock referring to Michael Bray [PHOS] as the best ruckman in the division...

Hhhhhmmmmmmm...

But he has played an A grade final which means its 70% majority of B grade games he needs to have played to qualify? Is that right? He only played 2s cause he was working I heard.
