MT LOFTY VS SCIBS- SCIBS by 3 wickets- been lots of talk about Lofty being more competitive this yr but just dont see them winning many more games then last yr. if the paper is right and big bad brad smith is back for scibs that game could b an interesting specticle. he should b in good shape after umpiring this yr.
BRIDGY VS URI- URI by 80 runs- dont know much bout either team except that bridgy have lost players and not gained many. Usual suspects for uri should get the job done hunter and carter ect.
ONKAS VS MEADOWS- onkas by 2 wickets- should b a belter of a match. lots of talk in the off season about recruits to an already awesome onkas outfit. also rumours have it that some meadows boys are still sore from footy season and may miss early matches. the game will be won on day 1, depending on both squads line ups.
GATORS VS HAPPY VALLEY- gators easy- even with the loss of AP the boys will b too strong. Piggy will take early wickets and knock over chippers who is the valleys only decent bat. then bjordal to make a ton against an ordinary bowling attack.
any1 elses thoughts?
Expect the Onkas, Meadows to be an absolute run fest due to the fact they are playing on Oak Bank Area school oval.

Thanks mate.
Good bloke Pete Fryer and good player too. Sad to see him leave the Ling.
Are you surprised he left to take up coaching? or has it been on the cards??
Not sure as I haven't been around the club for the last coupe of years. He was always good at training with us - would always give you some pointers if you asked for them.
I can't recall if he was given a coaching role at Stirling - he may have been since I've been away. Big loss to our club - big gain for yours.

In terms of players to look out for, Gaunt from Mylor is probably the best actual batsman I have seen, Hollamby from Aldgate is dangerous and Fleet from Mylor is probably the most damaging batsman in the comp. Steadman (mylor), Finch (Easterns) are also batsmen you need to get early.
Anthony Cooper from Mylor probably quickest and best of the bowlers, with Orielly (aldgate) very difficult and takes a lot of wickets. Stringer is also a good B grade bowler.
Mylor went undefeated all year last year but got out of jail in both finals to win the flag. Prediction is for Easterns to surprise with a flag in only their second year in the B's
Hope this was helpful, even it is probably wrong in many opinions

And the ECHUNGA MINERS have rocketed to the TOPof the table with an Outright win over the Creeks. L.Ck 126 + 2/154 dec (T.Potts 66 M.Tonkin 60*) lost O/R to Ech 5/145 Dec + 5/137 (S.Dunstall 68*).
Well done to the Echunga lads after a tough couple of seasons since coming back into 'A' grade. Cant see them being part of the Finals action tho.
After just 1 game i'm declaring that Nairne, Strath and Hahndorf will finish top 3 whilst it will be a toss up for 4th spot between Wistow, Echunga and Creeks.
Updated odds.
Nairne $1.80
Strath $3.00
Hahndorf $3.30
Wistow $21.00
L.Creek $21.00
Echunga $51.00
