A special mention to Michael Taylor who turned 15 during the week and made his A grade debut, he top scored with 51, not a bad effort against a quality line-up, nearly half of the teams runs aswell.

I'm going to have a bit of a stab at picking the premiers for 08/09.

Grade 1: Two Wells: They're struggling a bit at the moment but I think they'll find form when it matters.
Grade 2: Angle Vale: An excellent all-round team from all reports, plenty of bowling depth.
Grade 3: Riverside: Seasoned campaigners and appear to be flying at the momnet.
Grade 4: Elizabeth East: Good to see all of their best players playing A's, they are smashing teams.
Grade 5: Parafield Gardens: A very strong bowling attack and things appear to be looking up for them.
Grade 6: Brahma Lodge: Looks like a pretty experienced side judging by performances.
Grade 7: Craigmore: Plenty of talented youngsters in this team.
Grade 8: Brahma Lodge: Looks like the "Falconer" show, 400+ runs in 4 weeks I think.

Dont write off sandy creek in grade 3, could have a decent contingent of a grade quality players there for the end of the year. I think salisbury west have to be the favourites for grade 1, they are flying at the moment and thats when they are at their most dangerous, full of confidence. Lastly, finally good to see Paul McHale playing higher than grade 8

Westies are definite favourites atm, yes, I have been monitoring Sandy's grade 3 team, Plugger has been on fire. Lubke for Elizabeth East is a fair cricketer aswell, runs and wickets so far, Tully goes allright for them too as an all-rounder.

If he was a bloodnut, that would've been Brad Duffy, played his for game for the year this round, played a few B grade games last year, hopefully he strings a few games together now.

Yeah I remember him from that CUSA game too Ben.....definitely bowled with some good wheels.

We also played them (remember when grade 1 and 2 had those crossover games) 2 seasons ago and he came on second change and bowled nothing more than brisk. I wondered what happened.

Had the potential to be quite dangerous.

I would have thought that Westies would be faves in 1 and 3 at the moment. grade 3 side pretty similar to the one that played ok in grade 2 with more or less the same bunch of kids, and that side will get stronger after christmas. Our C, D and E grades will find it tough in 4, 5 and 6 especially with an A grade side sitting in grade 4. No way should elizabeth east have an A grade in 4 with 3 other sides as well! Should be at least 3 and probably 2.

Nah, this was against Adelaide & Suburban at North Haven oval. Jamie Sibbick got us home with 80odd not out.

We didn't play at ATCO that year.... Are you talking about the year Willie and Joss played together in that ATCO game ? I busted my thumb taking a catch off Willie in the slips that year.
