He wastes the newie mate. Still bowls too short. You can always score off Jimmy.

alot of people waste the new ball in this comp... and his short ball at the grill is not that easy to score off.. unless one of your fav shots is the pull shot like yours..

Not sure about his short ball being hard to score off, 6 6s off them last time we met.

I wish we could use the b.machine in games! Dont think we would lose too many, especially putting it at 150+!

And mate, you dont have to remind me how good bowlers both you and Jimmy are, i'm normally not out there long enough to know any of your other bowlers!!

i thought the two wells lads were going to recruit b.machine but decided against it what happened

Spent the money on players. Now just about ******

In saying that i think that if jimmy sticks to bowling just short of a good length he will have anyone in trouble

It was as easy a game as anyone could have had really. 4 overs off 3 steps, 10 overs umpiring and 3 balls facing with the bat, and in the field only had 85 to defend. The game was finished 25 overs short of the full complement. I've been talking every now and then about it with some of the other guys who played and we all have that feeling that we could have done something. He didn't look great after the game but at the time I figured it must have been pretty normal since none of his team mates seemed too worried. I didn't hear him talking and wasn't out in the middle to see whether he was losing co-ordination when he was bowling but in all reality I don't think even then I'd have put the signs together.

Interesting discussion.

I guess at this point of the season, last year doesn't matter at all.

HAHAHA....GOLD !

Gotta agree though. Jimmy bowls back of a length too much. He should be bringing blokes forward more. He'd have a lot more success.

We thought that he was a little de-hydrated initially, although the game didn't go the full length, it was very humid out there, I was pretty drained, my initial thoughts were to get him in a car with good air-conditioning pointing straight on him and with some ice on his forehead.

Trying to define an actual moment, I've put it down to his last delivery, if it was anytime before that I would've noticed a change in his action as his left side wasn't functioning properly. He even stayed out to help pack up the mats til someone told him to go sit down as he helped set up and he was looking pretty buggered to them.

I'm no expert on the condition and trying to find information out on the net seems to be pretty vague aswell, I don't know if it happens instantly, gradually or if there are any early signs or preventative actions that can be done. I'll be getting as much info as possible in the future as it is pretty distressing seeing a mate in his current condition from doing something he loves doing.

Already pumped about playing this weekend! Saturdays are always the day of the week i look forward to. May as well do my tips while im here:
Salisbury West vs ATCO: Last time i tipped against us we won so i hope im putting the mockers on SW by tipping them, not sure the mockers will be enough though :?
SW 210 Atco 170
Two Wells vs Brahma Lodge:Sticking to the home team here as i believe with right 11 can be a very dangerous side. Should be a close game but i think bowling may prove the difference here!
TW 180 (stama to hit 50,Sibbick to get 4fa) BL 165 (McCarthy to prove all the knockers on here wrong and bowl some good lines/lengths and pick up 6fa with only the amount of overs he can bowl to stop him getting 10)
Rose And Crown vs Sandy Creek: Sandy have the form and the team to win easy here.
R+C 120 Sandy 1/121(bomber another 100)
Virginia vs OTH:This will be the first draw of the year as its to close to tip, both sides need a win but will share the points.
Virgina 146 OTH 146

Big word at Westies tonight was the long awaited return of one S. Nobes to the A grade. Pretty formidable batting line up this week with him sliding in.
