Anything on the day can happen!!!!
I think TW would have to be going in quietly confident on recent form. Who is ur top 4 and in order???

There's a couple of mini-battles in Grade 2 leading into the end of the season.

Angle Vale 115.82 (Craigmore & Playford)
Salisbury North 93.37 (Playford & Craigmore)
Craigmore 84.55 (Angle Vale & Salisbury North)
Playford 83.42 (Salisbury North & Angle Vale)
St. Pauls 65.46 (Eastern Park & Central United)
Smithfield 64.30 (Central United & Eastern Park)
Eastern Park 57.68 (St. Pauls & Smithfield)
Central United 48.97 (Smithfield & St. Pauls)

All of the top 4 only play teams in the top 4 and same deal as the bottom 4, an outright win somewhere could open it right up.

How!? We should have chased that total easily but failed...

And Westies batting did crumble, dont know if it will happen again..

You did keep them to a gettable total. You were probably over-awed to be in such a strong position, a bit of level-headed batting and you could've cruised to victory, you just needed someone who was willing to hang around and let Jamie take the bulk of the strike.

I didnt early, but at drinks I thought we were a good show, then I decided to get out 3 balls later!

But I thought we had enough batting to come, but just as Salisbury West done, we lost wickets in quick succession.

Anything can happen in the finals.. quick wickets will always build pressure.. You blokes would have to go in with some confidence if you make it.. I think every team that makes it needs to have confidence in there ability otherwise there is no use them being there!!!!

Were we expected to win? However, we should have after restricting Westies to 143..

Both teams had batting collapses

its not about being expected to win...i was just saying that this week is massive.. sounds like you are using that as excuse for losing..
gotta go into every game thinking you are gonna win, or you might as well join norm on the bowling green..

P.S the following game will be bigger ;)

Virginia 176 def Rose & Crown 129

If my calculations are correct then this is the ladder grade 1
1. Westies 105.08 play - Rosies and Atco
2. Virginia 85.43 - play lodge and OTH
3. Wells 81.22 - play OTH and BL
4. Brahma 79.55 - play Virginia and TW
5. OTH 72.46 - play TW and Virginia
6. Sandy's 69.12 - play atco and rosies
7. Rosies 60.42 - play SW and SC
8. Atco 49.80 - play SC and SW

Anyone from 2-6 can miss out - hopefully we get no heat in the next four weeks - looks like some cracking games. Sandy Creek certainly have the easiest run.[/quote]
If this is true? We are closer than i thought we would be. 10 points shy of Lodge, very interesting . If we only win first innings points this week and still come out of the game with 10 points that will put us on 79.12. Lodge loose to virginia, only come out of it with 4 points that gives them 83.55 , then we are within 4.43 points.
