Mate, i'm still working out who plays in what team! I think we had about 3 or 4 A graders out. The interestin part of the game was David wanted to play people in different positions to see how they went, which was interesting to say the least!

I would hardly call that radical and interesting, given the fact that it was a trial game and how else would he find where players can play?

Agreed Rex!

P32, Would you rather he waited until during the year when an injury forces a move?

I dunno, I would have thought trial games would be there to practice your position, gel as a team and work on structure? There were guys who may have played midfield or a wing all there life that were playing FF or FB, or ruckmen who played back pocket! If you saw that you would say that was very interesting! Lol...
Hey I'm not saying it was a bad thing because it took players out of their comfort zones and the coaches got to see them play a different position which in the long run was beneficial.

When there's 40 plus blokes on the track and I haven't seen any of them play, I don't who plays in what grade regularly and it's kind of hard to remember who's there and who's not. Like I said, from what I can remember we had a few blokes who weren't there that i'm pretty sure would have been playing A grade.

you yourself would have to of been pretty happy with ya own form mate,i thought you won the ruck quite comfortably and ya did a reasonable job wen u went down back, along with s.prescott.

all good its my first season at a new club also but with training with them for the last few months i can work out who the guns are gonna be without knowing anyone and you being a coach already youd have a radar for that sort of thing. when people say had a few out they dont mean people who go to and thro from the grades they mean solid players

I won't go into it too much but you have covered pretty much everyone that wasn't there Cyclops except Jason Middleton who wasn't there.
Personally I hadn't been that dissapointed in a long time with my performance. But David kept reminding me it was just a trial game, so I'm just looking forward to this week to make up for it. Where you at the game Cyclops or is this second hand info?
It was quite funny watching at times blokes who were playing out of their normal position just go back to what they normally do. I remember being in the backlines with Prescott and he's just sprinted up the middle of the ground and yelled back at me "watch my man for me"!!! Lol...

After speaking with a couple of Reynella boys, some were happy with your game p32, some thought for the amount you are getting paid (or have been already) that you needed to do more come the season proper, I hope for your sake and the Winies that you can give them a big helping hand this year. Any news on Jason Farrier down at Westies?? or if he will be back for the flies? My mail is he is going nicely and is in line for a league debut early in the season, although I am not that close to the source.

Lol..welcome back book worm! I think last time you were on the SFL you were asking how much i'm on, what's the interest mate?
I wouldn't be surprided if some of the boys were hoping for more from me as like I said earlier, it was one of my worst games i've played.
