No doubt you are a good side. You have been up there the last few years.....although you should thank me for those cheap second innings points last game of the minor round about 4 years ago. Stopped you guys getting relegated. ;)

It's all about the OZ!!!!!!! ;) ;)

i dont agree with that sort of sledge mpm, i thought you were a bit more mature than that

Gee there has been some rubbish going on in here.

Creekers, all well and good to throw stones hiding behind an internet alias. Well done to those that have done it while putting themselves out there but you sir are weak as pi$$.

Its finals time and I'm back. West to abuse Sandy this weekend - just like last season. I shall see you tomorrow !

Enjoy your last game with Bomber Sandy !

What has KT done to Pete? Only bowled a handful of overs, could have definitely bowled some more at the end. No disrespect to Ellis, as I know he did get 3 for last week, but surely KT with the wind would have been a bit more effective. Ellis as a change up for a couple overs sure, but I think he bowled 6-7 (pls correct if wrong) and never looked like getting a wicket or keeping the runs down. Stama bad back and still took 5 for, very nice effort. With the top 6 Wells have 250 is definitely reachable.

Between engagements briefly, but my thoughts on the day's play.

West 55/45 against sandy. Very close but 3 down with Bill, Bomber and a grade 4 player gone. Next wicket VITAL but not much after. Bill bowled well (McCafferty first ball of Bill's first over was a nice bonus since it was a half volley!) but not much pressure once he was done and West "escaped" from 4/35 to 6/120 before some late wickets saw the score at 159. Ratcliffe survived, albeit off the edge from Davies several times. Bill with a brain melt helped. One of those shots that looked like he regretted before he even hit it.

Wells in trouble. Virginia 90/10. 250 in any final is massive. Let alone with a pretty good bowling line up. They might lack depth but they'd have to have their guns not do anything, and we all know that bowling you get a second chance. And a third, fourth....... Wells have the ability, no doubt, but a few haven't had much cricket this season and 250 means a couple of guys having really good days, or many having decent days with a bloke changing the innings. Virginia a mile in front at the half way point IMHO.

to be fair thomo is one of the most experienced captains in this comp, and the big bloke who made 60 odd for them loved the ball coming on so between thomo and myself we made the decision to bowl ellis who also is very experienced and has done the job so many times in the past, just so happens it didnt work this time.. i think the damage was already done by then anyways with a few dropped catches and a few lbw decisions turned down and most of all leo snicked one to the keeper wnen he was on about 15 ,only to hear what every bowler hates to hear..NO BALL.. i am not taking anything away from virginia who batted very well prob the best they have batted all year, and to make 253 in a semi against our bowling line up is massive.. we as a team are still confident of getting them and have to bat as they did which was sensible..
