moonta prob will win, as i said my tips were a guess, and were written without any knowledge of moontas team. Since then i have learnt of their recruits but stuff it, i'll go against the trend and stay with my original tip to be different. You can have all the recruits and big names in the world in the off season, but if they dont come together on the field then it means nothing, this goes for both teams. As i said in past post its a guess and we'll know more after the first games.

southern eagles with approx 110pt win over wallaroo.
Cms Crows with approx 80pt win over cy cougars.
Moonta with a win over kadina, not sure how much, think 8 goal.
Ardrossan with the upset of the round with a win over bute.

good start to the season for us, cms, couple minor injuries out of todays win, but with next week off to recover should be good. Looking forward to the next game against other big winners eagles, and with a few players to come into our side it should be a great game.

the way moonta was carrying on, on the weekend anyone would have thought they won the flag. cant see too many opposition teams hanging around after the game for a drink.

it was only 24pts at 3/4 time, a ten goal to 1 last term doesnt help.
Dont think they have lost too many, but crows have recruited a couple and have a few returning, plus they just played a lot better.

Wiggles played well in the trial against us. Showed that he hasn't lost it after some time off footy.

ive heard matty has been linked to a return to Gepps Cross or perhaps Kilburn where he plays cricket, big money involved is the rumor.. He'll go where the coin and the good party times are :P

Can guarantee you one thing, Matt Travis is not worth "big money" irresepective of where he plays.
Be playing B's if he goes back to Gepps and that would not sit comfortably alongside his massive ego.

Interesting to see Matty stayed with the Eagles AND seemed to perform well... cant believe you reckon he would make numbers in the magoos at gepps...

Did Joel initiate the contact? That was what I heard. Must have got it wrong! So unlike him, as Ben Read from Balaklava would attest to!
