West Torrens Football Club book 1945 to 1990

Postby Reddeer » Tue Sep 05, 2006 5:49 pm

Following the success of the Woodville Football club book my other project on the West Torrens club has been printed and is available.
Details of this book are
A Limited Edition of 100 numbered books
408 pages printed on quality paper and hard bound with a dust cover
Same format as the Woodville book with year by year compilation of all league games since 1945.
Includes date, venue, quarter by quarter scores, bets players, scores and attendances.
Charts for each year showing league players details for each game.
Many colour pages on memorabilia associated with Torrens, ie trade cards, badges, promotional material etc.
Club honour board and life members.
Coaches and Club Champion details, Magarey Medal voting and results against other clubs.
Writeups from West Torrens grand Final appearances 1945, 1948, 1949 and 1953
Player profiles on Club Captains and Club Champions
23 team photos
Colour photos of Clubs Magarey Medallists and Medals
Much more as this is an encyclopaedia on the West Torrens Club
This book is part 2 as part 1 is a work in progress covering the years 1897 to 1944
The book has been autographed by West Torrens AFL Hall of Fame members and Magarey Medallists Bob Hank and Lindsay Head.
At $120 each this book is underpriced as it has involved 8 years of research
The book is now available from the Eagles Club phone 83472444
43 books have already been sold or preordered

Once again its a pity about the price, I would have got one for my step dad if it was half the price.
Great work though Reddeer, let me know if there's copies of these in the museum and I might go have a look.

Only 27 books are left.
The SA library has requested a second copy for their records
Contact the Eagles Club on 83472444 if you are thinking about getting a copy

Wow! What a fantastic book. An encyclopaedia on West Torrens. The hundreds of pictures are fantastic as are the signatures of Bob Hank and Lindsay Head. A great keepsake.
