Just playing devils advocate here, but will all the hard work developing kids from U/9 level go out the window by loading up on PDCA imports ? I've seen cases where an influx of outsiders does more harm than good.

Only time will tell...

Will be very interesting to see if this is true. Bad news for the PDCA if thats the case as the standard of cricket will drop immensly IMO... However it may give me the opportunity to make some runs or take wickets!!!

That wasn't an attack on Ingle Farm, just a question as I now have multiple mates playing there too.

Thoughts ? Twin ?

Interesting point. The pathway for juniors at a Community club is not as simple as going through the junior ranks and then playing seniors. Clubs should be encouraging their promising juniors to move into Grade cricket and beyond, but at the same time leaving the door wide open to come back and play if Grade cricket doesn't work out. Generally, successful ATCA sides are made up of more senior experienced cricketers. Woodville South were a good example in A2 - can't beat quality combined with experience. That's not to say that you can't blend with some youth, but the real quality youngsters at most clubs are generally plying their trade in Grade cricket.

Personally, I have no problem with blokes leaving to a higher standard of cricket. In fact I probably urge more blokes to give it a go than I should. But if we were to lose key players we have the talent in the B grade to come through and pick up the slack. But every one of the guys that leaves knows (or at least I hope they know) they are always welcome to return if they ever want. Although the Wiz would know more about that than I.......

i reckon it is the same bowler.. the diff is now he has that premiership where as the last years there was unfinished buisness.
have heard the pup has been in talks with a turf team!! is this true pup??

Big tip boys, cant think of any cricketer that has left Ingle Farm and has a bad word to say about the place regarding cricket there.Only people that have moved on in the past 20 years ive been involved is for coaching or a higher standard.Everybody enjoys each others individual success in all grades which is what its about.Would love to see an influx of new faces regardless of their talents and give the old farts that come watch every week something to talk about.
