Some amazing statements on here regarding Edwardstown "not being top four". What more do they have to do to get respect
For the record they are still unbeaten, and the side expected to "sort them out" could only draw with them.
In my book they have just proved a point ---- not just top four material but one of the Flag contenders. After yesterday's result, to still claim the Towns are ordinary is just sour grapes.

I had a good look at E/Town and asked myself why the SFL have tried to gift them a top 4 spot. That is not to say that other teams are not upto the mark but that some are re building and the SFL give a supposed SAAFL powerhouse 2 games against the rebuilding clubs and 1 against the current crop of top 6 clubs. Come on SFL get serious and sort out the comp before it becomes a laughing stock. The current draw will pit current average teams against good teams at the business end of the season in fact some average teams may finish higher then get thumped in the show case games.

Not sure what draw you are looking at but I think you'll find of the four sides that E/Town play twice three of them played finals in 2008... Morphett Vale, Pt Noarlunga and Flagstaff Hill... Agreed the draw could have been tougher but labelling it a "soft draw" is inaccurate and unfair on M/Vale & Porties especially....

Admittedly the guernsey no. was missing, but that's the Port club's doing.

Lots of different opinions on this weeks games. Christies winning over porties was probably an upset but not a huge surprise. Looks like they will be near certainties to play in september now, with their draw. Reynella also surprised me. Brighton midfield embarrased cove a couple of weeks ago, so winies midfield must have been good satday. Emus had towns on toast but they wouldnt go away and with their draw could sneak into the 4. Have a feeling that 1 point is going to be pretty valuable at the end of minor round. For the record, i think the top 4 will be reynella, brighton, m vale, edwardstown. Cove's slow start and tough draw will see them 5th but still will be dangerous in finals.

Thats a big win for the Saints, would be talking finals action down there for sure, Porties on shaky ground now but I believe they still have a lot to come back.

Think you boys should get your facts right before you go posting crap like that on a public forum, weekend before at Savvy there was one incident with a Townies fan/player. Totally instigated by the townies person, and was over in a minute, nothing more than what happens on your average saturday night out.

As for at the Grand on the weekend, was there all night with the boys, and saw or herd nothing of any troubles. So unless you can tell me otherwise (PM me if you want), as far as im aware there were no major troubles at all. To say that all we wanted to was fight as soon as we rocked up is a disgrace mate, we all know that isnt true so don't know why you would post rubbish like that.

Ohh and shoeboy, could you write any more crap? 'and it appears the lads make up for it when out and about??' Youv'e written that with question marks on the end, so clearly you don't know if its true or not. So stop writing crap about our club that is totally non footy related on the forum. Bet youd be pretty happy to put your house on Noarlunga players never ever stepping a foot wrong while out in the public eye? Get a life boys...

The smell of fresh cut grass, Butterflies, birds singing, a lovely spring day and baby magpies getting run over. Happens every spring and Reynella has the highest rate of Hay fever on the Australian Mainland and Reynella A grade go missing.

I didn't can you for it, just said it was only round 2. It is still only round 4, but it is good to be getting the wins on the board and see that we can compete with the top teams. My comment before was simply tongue in cheek. We still have Happy Valley, Cove, Edwardstown and then the on the rise Christies over the next 4 weeks, so things don't get any easier.

Not everyone can make the top 4 BTP. And whilst Towns may finish in the top 4 after the minor round i cannot see them beating any of Brighton, Reynella, M/Vale or Cove come finals time with the style of footy they play.

Who do you think they will replace as a preliminary finalist BTP?

I see cove kicked a lot of points on the weekend against valley. Was this just pure bad kicking or was it a result of porters ridiculous "lets get 17 blokes in our defensive 50" tactics. Been watching too much tv i think!

well you play 1 top 4 side out of that we have a tougher draw than that. just wondering who your other games are you play twice. i know hackham is one for a concession on your percentage just wondering is there any other top four sides that play hackham twice. p1ss off the 1 div and make div 1 play every team twice home and away make teams earn there spots
