I was in the crowd Top GUn and there was NO fights so yes all dribble.. Lob sided game with Cove's inaccuracy at goal costing them a 12 - 15 goal victory and the scoreboard flattering porters vikings..... Last week inaccuracy at goal cost them the game against Morphett Vale when they kicked 7 15 and this week 17 19.... Three qtr time coves score was 8 17 so hopefully they broke there yips in the last qtr for the year as they piled on 9 2..... I reckon ando would be pretty pleased with where they are at brighton game they were smashed but to go down by a couple of kicks to vale (inc inaccuracy killing them) and easy victories over porties at porties and now valley with three or four players returning saturday from injury... they are placed nicely with reynella and edwardston after the bye and the welcome return of the big guns in vick, gill and also returning of premiership players in platten and krezos.

May work well on their home oval in good conditions but i think on alot of the SFL's smaller grounds the Towns will come unstuck.

I agree there not good enough for a top 4 spot.

so your saying that m/vale wont be top 4 spot aswell ??seen as they could only draw against townies. how can you pick that townies wont make the top four but m/vale will on yesterdays result. Sorry doesnt make sense.

thats the dumbest thing i've ever read. so going on your theory, Collingwood were a 14+ goal better side than Geelong last year? then why didnt they make the GF and beat Hawthorn by 9ish goals?

you're a fool.

How is Vick's knee going? He should be due back after the bye shouldn't he?

Disapointing to hear Hills and this is not the first time they have been accused of incidents like this?
Their presedent has a zero policy re drinking issues at the club and it appears the lads make up for it when out and about??

Same thing happened last week at Saavy to hills, i think these boys think they go a bit better than what they actually do...

Think you boys should get your facts right before you go posting crap like that on a public forum, weekend before at Savvy there was one incident with a Townies fan/player. Totally instigated by the townies person, and was over in a minute, nothing more than what happens on your average saturday night out.

As for at the Grand on the weekend, was there all night with the boys, and saw or herd nothing of any troubles. So unless you can tell me otherwise (PM me if you want), as far as im aware there were no major troubles at all. To say that all we wanted to was fight as soon as we rocked up is a disgrace mate, we all know that isnt true so don't know why you would post rubbish like that.

Ohh and shoeboy, could you write any more crap? 'and it appears the lads make up for it when out and about??' Youv'e written that with question marks on the end, so clearly you don't know if its true or not. So stop writing crap about our club that is totally non footy related on the forum. Bet youd be pretty happy to put your house on Noarlunga players never ever stepping a foot wrong while out in the public eye? Get a life boys...

Your tripping mate, they started a fight with my team mate and got thrown out. My mate included, so i followed them ALL outside. When i got out side my team mate stayed at the front doors while the flaggie boys sat over on the benches.. I went over and tried to sort it out. All one bloke wanted to do was argue and i kept saying this is a discussion mate settle down.. After a couple of minutes trying to get through to you retarded so called footballers, i gave up and walked off. To which they again, the so called "tough guys" had another go...

Oh and we managed to go back inside too.. While you homos sat their feeling tough.

For the record they are still unbeaten, and the side expected to "sort them out" could only draw with them.
In my book they have just proved a point ---- not just top four material but one of the Flag contenders. After yesterday's result, to still claim the Towns are ordinary is just sour grapes.

Not everyone can make the top 4 BTP. And whilst Towns may finish in the top 4 after the minor round i cannot see them beating any of Brighton, Reynella, M/Vale or Cove come finals time with the style of footy they play.

Who do you think they will replace as a preliminary finalist BTP?

"Top Four Material" means they are capable of it. They proved that last Saturday. I'm not saying they definitely will, just that they are capable of it. It still all depends on the way it pans out over the rest of the season, but Edwardstown are obviously as good as top four contenders.
As to who they will replace from last year, well they are in front of all of them right now. If you want a "for instance" of one not travelling all that well so far, try Happy Valley.

Just realised Swooper, you said "preliminary finalists" not "double-chancers" so that rules out Happy Valley. Think the Towns they might have a better chance than Porties right now though.

So Hills just made it up for no apparent reason!
So The Grand/Savvy/and the horse racing are just as you put it "nothing more than what happens on your average sat night out" Well I put it to you that YOU have a problem!!

You also failed to mention that I defended your club and the good people that work hard at keeping it so!

So you should look at venting that aggression on the field as I didnt see to much instead of the Sat night yobo you and some
of your mates appear to be.
Also when you are a player or member you represent your club when on or off the field!

So get a life @};- as today is the 1st anniversary of Sammy D and his tragic loss of life.

But going on your theory of Edwardstown drawing with Morphett Vale wouldn't that mean Porties are only a kick behind both of these teams?? They only lost to Towns by less than a kick...

Results are one thing but the way a team goes about getting those results are another. Morphies didn't deserve to draw, let alone win, on the weekend.

We took it as a loss, Towns seemed to be happy as if it was a win.

Some of you boys are getting fired up as to who is a better side than the next . We should be all wrapped that we are likely to have a final 8 at years end with everyone deserving to play finals with a hope of going deeper into September rather than some token additions who get flogged week 1. Townies also won the B grade so they must have some depth however lack of C grade and Under 18's will surely pose a problem at some stage of season. Reynella too good for the Bombers. We led by 1 point at 3 qtr time but that was flattering. Reynella kicked 2 goals in first 90 seconds of last quarter and it was all over. Earl put effective tags on Johnstone and King and we just couldn't prevent Milo from doing as he pleased from half-back. Young Moyle looks a prospect. Unlike our Emu friends, no excuses from Bomberland, Reynella just too good. And I hope for Panther 32's sake, that will be his worst game for the year because any more like that and you'll be getting asked to report for duty at 11.30am each week.

Flaggies put up a much more spirited effort this week, but costly lapses once again showed.

Shoes smashed us in the centre for the majority of the game, and thankfully they didnt kick straight early...

On a positive good first up efforts by Murts and Chappy in their A grade debuts, and a good performance by Timmy M up front, took a few strong grabs.

Where were all the bikies? 8)

At what point have any Emus put up an excuse?? I think our descriptions were pretty similar to yours we didn't deserve to win but probably still should have, which was disappointing, no one to blame but ourselves for it.

Lucky they weren't at the grand..!!

I read that they cancelled their ride to Victor due to the party the night before. That must have come as a relief to the young lad on the gate.

All I'm saying is don't bag the Towns for drawing with you. Of course straight calculations based on margins is complete rubbish, but a draw with a class act like the Emus shows they're IN IT.
The reference to Port was in answer to a question from Swooper, and based on the fact they are now "0-4", not a comparison of margins.

You will find that FLY has flown away from the Reynella nest and has situated closer to TOWN. 'Leather', this poster is trying to promote a bit of arrogance or sledging before his/her team meets them in a few weeks. The Reynella boys are fully aware that the business starts in August and it gets serious in September, and are aware of their track record.

Any win from a top 6 team against another top 6 team (especially if they have had the wood on them) is a good win. Also aware its more important to win those matches in September.

For the record, Edwardstown are in the mix. Close match against quality of Morphies, win lose or draw, says you are around the mark.
