And on public premises you don't ever have full control over who comes to watch a game.

We have worked so hard over the past few years to make sure our crowd acts accordingly at home games, we never imagined we'd have this sort of trouble at a parklands ground, apart from getting each spectator filling out a questionaire and running background checks, I am at a loss of what to suggest.
I am a life member of the club and I swear on my life I have never seen this person before.

yes will be interesting to see what sanction the saafl put on either the club or person and their reasoning

It goes without saying, I would very much doubt that we'd ever see him again around the place.

Very hard to Monitor Lm
no fences etc on alot grounds
should be ok when you play at blackfriars
you could give the security guard a picture and he could deal with it! (Just a lighter side)

I'm sure there were a few people around the place who would make it their business that he doesn't attend either. Hopefully he takes heed of the warnings mate. No one needs that.

Sorry to harp on this, but as a first timer to the last 2 Smithfield home games to watch a couple of mates play, the supporters on the sidelines have been perfectly fine. I had heard the "rep" and stories around the place, but from what I've seen it's a very decent club. Don't let 1 bloke ruin the good image Smithfield are working towards.

Having played for Plympton, Morphettville Park, Sydney University, Cove, and umpired in all different grades i reckon its fair to say i've seen a few different grounds and clubs and i'd say that 95% of crowds are fine, maybe even up to 99%.

Unfortunately its the 1% that are the loud minority that bugger up Club reputations. There really isn't much you can do about them, its a public place, and it sux that you can't. And on occasion you get incidents such as this one where things have ellegedly been caused by a relative unknown at the Club.

I think its fair to say that each and every Club in every grade, league, comp across australia has a % of tossers that attend thier matches, and sometimes they arc up, and sometimes they dont, and sometimes that % is 1% and sometimes its more. But overall it aint that bad. If we were hearing of instances of this elleged altercation each week at one particluar ground, or always involving one particular club then you'd say that the club has a problem, but at the mo hopefully it can be knocked on the head and we can all move on.

Havent seen enough games to comment, but it appears there are a few guys getting an even amount of the footy without too many standouts which is a good sign, and it seems as if there are different guys each week getting in the best players which is healthy.

If im wrong im sure someone else from Plympton will correct me.

its well known that i aint no Smithfield fan, i know ur supporters are very.... umm passionate, and ur players are quite physical. But u could rely on none of them to do something like that. Obviously some big hero came along and did ur club no favours at all by doin somethin like that. I hope the tribunal see it this way, but i gotta feelin u guys are not gonna get a good hearing.
Best of luck anyway guys.

Yeah I agree, Rats is finding lots of the footy although it will be hard to go past the likes of Moore, Elletson, Brooker and Co. These blokes might challenge for the B&F comes season end!
