which full back can handle the stay at home big full frorward type???
Paco (is that his name) from brighton is a big strong guy?
who have townys got?
any1 else?

Panda will kick a lot of goals this year IMHO, and did well to kick 6 on Smithers.... but fair go Dilligaf, four of his six on the weekend were from some very soft and ordinary free kicks IIRC! Seems to have a good kick on him tho, and is a good size thats4sure.

Edwardstown have both Golding and Hibberd, both huge targets who would give older Smith a run for there money in the size stakes. And not too many teams in the SFL have one biq quality defender, let alone two!

What is your view on the shoe's display on the weekend.

Injuries are part and parcel of the game and I dont think 2 many clubs put their best side out every week due to injuries.

We went into last weeks game with 3 very good outs including our skipper Despott and expected a very hot Porties that where 0 and 5. Our first half was very good with good skills and a very good attack on the footy but when Shultz and Whitey went down so did we as a group or more so Porties lifted big time and started to win the contested footy which we pride ourself's on.
Porties wanted the win more and it showed and that was the dissapointing aspect that didnt go down well for me. Maybe with such a young group we will have moments in games like that but it is something we need to rectify.

Some one once told me THAT if you cant run WALK, if you cant walk CRAWL, as this footy club never EVER gives in!!!!

as loosing is something not to be feared but how you loose is!!!!

Hey $hoe Boy, when he's not wrapped up in the cotton wool by the medical staff - how is young Mathew Despott going leading your troops this year? How are the $hoeys responding to his leadership? And is he likely to beat his injury and front up against the Emus this weekend?

Good to hear from you CT.
Matty has been troubled with a couple of niggling injuries in recent times and this after the best pre season Matt has had at the club.
As far as leadership goes Matt has epitomiised all that is required to lead the club and in doing so has been rewarded with the captaincy.Matt is one of the most respected members of the club and is held in high regard by both his peers and the club as a whole.
Will he play this week? I hope so and noted him on the track last night.
Will we see the return of Andrew Harris back to his old club this week? how is he travelling?
How is $cotty 450 Pollard going will he be on the track?

Its good to be heard by you Shoe Boy, good to be back amongst the Forum to bring a bit of much needed class and proper English back to these pages!

Good to hear Matty is handling the captaincy with no worries. A mate of mine goes to the same solarium as Matty does and told me he was struggling with an injury, hope he's ok for Saturday.

Andrew Harris still finding his feet in Saturday football, but has definately turned it on in the last 2 weeks kicking something like 8 and 7 respectively in the 2s! So he's going alright indeed. As for glamour full forward $cotty Pollard, he got amongst the goals last week as well and id imagine he'd be fronting up this week as well. Probably in the forward line somewhere.

Haha. Harry shouldnt have too many troubles kicking the most goals in B grade this year. However i am not too sure how versatile he is and may have trouble commanding a position at Full Forward in the ones seeing as the bloke in there at the moment has kicked a few in recent years.

Talking about Reynella - just read the Argus, what happened in the last quarter last week, Did P32 have a rest on the bench and the team collapse or did H.V finally come good..

David has had a real impact around the club, not just on the field but off the field as well. The boys seem to be a very tight group of players and are starting to see what they are capable of achieving.

I think we were just a bit tired after our third quarter effort and perhaps became a little too self satisfied with what we had done and let our guard down a bit.

I havent heard alot on Cove so i thought id break some news (well its new to me)

Ramsey has a broken thumb, not just an ordinary broken thumb either, rumours are he split the bone in half. He is still playing to i reckon. May help reynella win this week.

Christies v Brighton brighton by 30 goals, hey tyler?? HAHA
Towns v Valleys towns by 7 goal
Marion v Bushies marion by 5, look out for the fights later that night ;)
Twisties v Hawks twisties by plenty

Rumour is also that Vick and Gill are still out this week, but who knows. Can only play the team that turns up on Saturday.
I don't mind being the underdog, teams tend to underestimate us. 5-0 and people still won't tip us!
Marion v Flagstaff Hill- Think the Rams have picked up a couple and will be too strong for Flaggies this week, winners by 8 goals.
Noarlunga v Morphett Vale- M/V to put another dent in the Shoes armour winning by 15 goals.
Christies Beach v Brighton- Brighton to continue to show their class but will only win by 6 goals.
Morphettville Park v Hackham- M/P to win by 35 goals, nothing else to be said really.
Edwardstown v Happy valley- Townies to get up in this one by about 2 goals.
Aldinga v Pt Noarlunga- Porties to make it 2 in a row winning by 10 goals.
Reynella v Cove- With rumours of injuries to the defending Premiers and the inclusion of a couple of very good players for the Flies, I think the Flies will get up by 4 goals in a tough battle.
